Me and my boy grem used to treat the monolith tape cassette like a crown jewel. It was one of the first cassettes that we knew about that noone else around us did. So we felt like we had a secret weapon. This was a dope moment in canadian rap scene

Word, I still have my Monolith cassette from their show in my hometown back in 99. Dan E O signed it the first drunk autograph I ever wrote with his tag. I treasure that tape and the memory of that incredible performance.

I remember Nish Rawks used to work at HMV at STC. I remember me and him discussing Diamond D’s “Stunts, Blunts, and Hip Hop” and how it was such a dope album there at HMV lol. Good times.

i hope people realize that the cultural diversity in this video is more important then the song its self. you wouldn't see that shit in an american video. god i love how it brings us together. big ups to canada, one nation under real hip hop. represent your element.
@DR-nw7xn2 ай бұрын
Back then nobody cared about that because diversity and inclusion was genuine and not politically contrived virtue signalling for ideologues. It was more progressive then than it is now. The more you focus on race and skin colour the more it's in focus. ❤ ☮️

grimace is sick still, but they are all sample experts, but not everyone can rock equally on monolith beats, or whatever. just an expert opinion, but can that be with or without modern technology or modernity? That is the opinionated question indeed.
