16:22 Fun fact: Yui Kodai (that female character from class 1-B that kinda looks like a cute pizza delivery girl) is the "leftovers" of the original character that was going to be the main girl of the series. Originally, the main girl was a combination of Uraraka's role and dreams, Mount lady's power and this character, Yui kodai's design (back when they were planning to set the story in university instead of a highschool setting). That's why she looks older, has a haircut similar to Uraraka's, a power similar to Mount lady (modified to work just for objects) and also why she says "release" like Uraraka while using her power. This is also why the show has a kinda "hugging each other" scene for a second between her and Uraraka. Because they (along with Mount Lady) were originally the same character. That scene was a reference to this fact.

Monoma was actually able to use One For All but he didn't have the stockpiled power. A great way to visualize One For All would be thinking like it's a water bottle that's slowly filling up with water (energy/power/other quirks). Since Deku's OFA has been passed through a lot of previous users, it's basically been filling up for a long time. Now, what Monoma has copied is the water container itself (OFA) but without the stockpiled power, which is in this case the water. It's like how we was able to copy Eri's quirk but since it also stockpiles power/energy, he wasn't able to "use" it the same way to reverse anything since he doesn't copy the energy gathered itself.

@@karla4563 Shinso can have multiple people brainwashed at the same time but can't trigger brainwashing on multiple people at the exact same time. Which is likely why Deku is resistant to Shinso's brainwashing: OfA has become a borderline hive mind via the ghosts of holders past.

As they’ve already seen the later episode it’s not really a spoiler but the line here is that when Monoma copies a quirk the residual effects of that quirk can stay even after he’s not longer using the quirk e.g. when he used Rule the Nuts he increased in size still remained large even after he no longer used it. When Monoma copied Deku he really did copy OFA however because OFA is a stockpiling quirk all Monoma could copy was effectively OFA when the first user had it - this is shown when he copies Eros quirk later. Given the conditions of OFA when I read this line and then later was shown that Monoma can’t use quirks that require a stockpile to use (what he calls blanks like if he copied Fatgum it wouldn’t work as he has no stored up fat) the fact that Monoma can copy OFA and the effects of quirks can continue after he no longer uses them he could theoretically pass on OFA to someone else and begin the stockpiling of a brand new OFA. This would make him very useful to AFO as he could force Monoma to copy OFA and pass that copy onto himself. This of course didn’t happen but at the time I thought it would’ve been an interesting take for the story.

@@bingleblorp993 The main problem is actually cooling Bakugo down enough to fully halt his quirk. He doesn't need to be profusely sweating to create explosions, the more he's sweating the more bang he can produce, but his quirk basically comes with a degree of inherent sweat gland control. The degree to which you'd need to cool Bakugo to STOP his quirk, would basically mean you've won the fight anyway because he'd be encased in ice. A quirk that can make the area around Bakugo very cold would slow him down though, and from there you just need to properly disable him before he uses his explosions to heat himself up. Plus his costume has its own heater, so you need to constantly fight that too. Cold CAN be a weakness, but Bakugo's way too smart to ever let something like that just defeat him outright. We have actually seen just how hard it is to ice Bakugo over. Shoto literally tried to do that in the sports fest, and Bakugo won the fight, and that's WITHOUT any equipment. Ice just wasn't enough to defeat Bakugo.

Well, maybe water manipulation quirk could shift Bakugo's sweat to counter and control where the explosion goes. Heck, if Deku got his mother's quirk he could probably control his explosions as well but with less precision

@@haydenberends3905 To be fair, Horikoshi is a fan of Star Wars too, and there are a lot of inspirations from that film franchise in this anime. Plus, a few old movies, superheroes, and a few folklore references as well. Even Deku's version of Black Whip could have been inspired by Venom due to it gelatinous look, and parasitic like movement.

Jokes aside, one thing Montana said is similar to how I figured the cover up would go. My prediction was that he could claim that his quirk was some sort of energy production, and that he was learning different ways to channel the energy, which resulted in different manifestations of power.

Class B Offense Team Neito Monoma Hero Name: Phantom Thief Quirk: Copy Grade: Yes. All of them (S to F) Hero Class: Combat/Detective (personality wise) Ok, he’s obnoxious, and literally EVERYONE on Class B is keeping him on a leash. So let’s address the elephant in the room that many don’t want to hear for such an annoying person. He belongs in the top 5 or top 6 of Class B. This is essentially a makeshift AFO. His limitations are his time limit and his copy stock. And he expanded BOTH. The time limit by DOUBLE. That’s such a fast development there’s absolutely no telling where he’ll be in his pro days. Get him to 10 quirks and an hour time limit and the sheer amount he can do is nothing short of ridiculous. His WEAKNESS is he has to learn how to use EVERY quirk he uses and he only gains the quirk and NOT the resistance that it packs with it most of the time. (Say if he were to copy Shoto, the frostbite or overheating would be UNBEARABLE for him and lack the precision moves Shoto is famous for) And he can’t combine them like AFO. But considering he backhanded Deku and both copied OFA AND triggered a twin impact in the SAME backhand, that’s such a fast switch we don’t even know if that’ll remain true. So it’s JUST the insane learning curve. (Which I’m pretty sure is why he failed final exams. I think he tried to copy Vlad King’s quirk without any idea how to use it and REGRETTED using a quirk that shoots blood out of his arms as a crystallized weapon.) The sky is truly the limit. And based on what he said…he’s actually probably the hardest one on himself. Not Kendo, not his other classmates, himself. He was raised thinking he can’t be a hero, and he doesn’t even think himself a main character…in his OWN life. That’s…actually really sad. I think the way he talks to Shinso before the match starts is what he’s actually like. He’s lived his life as outcasted because his quirk is WHOLLY dependent on who he’s surrounded by. But now he’s become one of the most skilled kids of the 41. Someone still needs to teach him what flashy means, because his “not flashy costume” is literally a tux with coattails. (So I’m guessing his family is rich and loveless.) It’s impressive how well they explained him in such a short time from me thinking if he REMAINED the one note annoying snot, I would be half rooting for him to be joyfully laughing turned into A BAD DAY from using OFA. With no quirk resistance, 5% isn’t even a safe assumption is what he can handle. Even with Deku at a fraction of a fraction of a fraction, Monoma was in IMMENSE danger. It is 100% on the table All-Might’s warning would apply if he WAS successful in bypassing whatever this “blank” was. Equipment wise he needs defense. Just no two ways around it. That costume needs to be dripped with every kind of resistance plausible if his body doesn’t get the quirk resistance. It needs to be capable of intense heat/cold/shock proof/environment proof/REALLY strong shock absorption. Just ANYTHING to help cover that all he gets is his own physical strength to back it up. Reiko Yanagi Hero Name: Emily Quirk: Poltergeist Grade: D Hero Class: Combat/Rescue THIS is where they put telekinesis. One of the most used super powers in fiction, and they don’t give it to a more powerful Class B member. I don’t really need to sell psychic levitation of objects and controlling how and where they fly all over the place. Because we’ve all seen how broken that is since it’s in nearly every superhero universe. (Magneto/Raven/Dr Strange/Sometimes Thor) So they stuck her with some HEFTY limitations. The weight of a human body is her limit. And that can SERIOUSLY hold her back. It can likely be easily developed, because every weight limit can be exercised and overcome and as we’ve seen with Uraraka, a weight limit might not be as cut and dry her limitation as say something else. Though the idea to ride around on nuts or bolts is SUPER fun to watch as they skate around. Her aim and range is pretty freaking solid. She was pretty accurately swarming SEVERAL locations over a city block away. And while we don’t see her shattering metal like other powerhouses, no one was ignoring her swarms. Both of those can be improved but what she REALLY needs is to be able to control more whether it be heavier objects or more objects at once. She can make literal storms of debris and her say teaming up with Kirishima would be a DEVASTATING combo. Don’t know why she didn’t think she could just, I don’t know, stop Mineta’s bouncing with her telekinesis. Mineta is NOT the weight of an average human being. I’m imagining her lifting a building, crumbling it, and having a HEAP of debris to throw all over the place. She’s also lacking physical strength. She did get quite literally 1-shot. Uraraka is DEFINITELY one of the strongest physical fighters no question and having such great long distance makes sense she would lack in the close range. For equipment I’d say maybe she could use some kind of radar or sensory booster. It’s what cost her more than anything in this. Everytime she looked the wrong way someone would leap in and swat her down. Literally in this case. Yui Kodai Hero Name: Rule Quirk: Size Grade: D Hero Class: Rescue/Containment This quirk confused me for a LONG time. She’s a HEAVY support character. She can’t control what she alters in anything but its size, so everything is dependent on how strong she is. And since Yanagi did all the carrying FOR her, that spells a lot too. She does have some pretty cool applications though. Her hat? It could be easily turned into a safety shelter in an instant. She could have used some of the rubble from the Blackwhip insanity to set up for the final piece of the combo twin impact, but no such luck. I’m not going to deny what she has is GREAT for support and defense, but everything else has a lot to be worked on. This would probably be a DIFFERENT story if she could reshape what she touches too. I kinda explored this for Momo if she had the ability to spread since she is already like an FMA alchemist. But now that I think about it, it might fit Kodai better. (More because I wanted to make Momo significantly more powerful. Kodai ACTUALLY needs some buffs) I mean is it just a proportionate increase/decrease of matter? Or is she compacting/reorganizing the existing matter? Because I’m thinking it must be the latter for it not to affect Yanagi’s limit. So then that’s where reshaping comes in. Who’s to say these tools couldn’t be used to make something new? Size and shape go hand in hand so it can really change how you think about her quirk. Otherwise she’s in pretty big need of focusing on her physical strength. And throwing something and releasing like Uraraka sounds really unruly. But throwing a miniature cage in the air then dropping it on villains is a pretty neat way to utilize her quirk. If she can time a throw to her expansion when she grows things to unnatural sizes that would be a pretty great way to get weapons for her. And if she can expand like say a ROOM for indoor evacuation. What REALLY gets Kodai going is she can mesh well with DOZENS of quirks. Yanagi and Shoda of course but there’s Kendo, Momo, Kaibara DEFINITELY Tsuburaba and Gentle Criminal. Theres no bigger a benefactor than of course Mount Lady. She has IMMENSE support capabilities but I want her to find good ground on her own too like Momo did despite finding her most comfort for support. Nirengeki Shoda Hero Name: Minez Quirk: Twin Impact Grade: B Hero Class: Combat/Detective Ok, while split up girl still has the crown for most confusing quirk, I think this one is the runner up. This is Class B’s vice rep. This one can have CRAZY combo potential when he gets his doubled impact to hit something else. Then he can start the chain all over no problem. So this can get crazy FAST. I don’t know if he can increase the number of impacts, and having ANY no miss impact MULTIPLIED off the 1st is honestly INCREDIBLY helpful. And nearly blasting through Deku’s OFA full cowling armor AND stopping Mineta as he bounces all over ARE pretty notable performances. At the same time, he’s gotta be an absolute FORCE in close combat. And for his “God bod” to immediately go down from Mina, despite that he wears a padded armor? That was a missed opportunity. His biggest moves would likely take a few seconds and that’s seconds you likely don’t have in a fight when it comes to REALLY large threats that might need a few accumulated chained impacts prior. I’d like to see him hit a villain, they get up, and he twin impacts them into another villain at a much larger force to end big groups. Another move I’d like to see is him punching the ground and twin impacting a spread out shockwave. On such large surfaces would it just work on the WHOLE surface or just a set area in it? That’s where you can get some bigger moves. For gear, a shield he can reflect blows on would be pretty nice. But he might just be able to use someone else’s impact on HIM to trigger the twin impact and break their hand or foot. (XD it’s like the ultimate bully defense.) I think a shield he can use would be good for bullet impacts and reflecting their bullets to return fire. Because I don’t see him being among the bullet proof heroes.

I didn’t have room for the little contributions these characters did and had to move Shinso out of this group entirely as a separate comment. So here’s what I found the 4 of them doing in the background. Monoma is the most highlighted Class B member of the 20. So there’s not enough time in the day for what he does. Ordinarily it ends with him face 1st on the floor courtesy of Kendo. Yanagi was on Kendo’s cavalry team and likely held back during both the obstacle race and the cavalry battle. She could’ve been using poltergeist on Kendo to stay in the game after they froze. Didn’t see her in the camp attack. Kodai was the rider of her team with Manga and Bondo. So her team not being full had to be made in a rush. And it only really highlighted Bondo. She was used by Honenuki in the scaring game at the camp attack to jump scare by popping out of the ground. She was escorted by Kendo out of the poison gas. And of course she was Princess Leia/Hermione/Juliette and WHATEVER other character they stuffed into her role for the play. So she’s actually appeared a lot. And of course Shoda gave up his position on the finals bracket at the sports festival with Ojiro over Shinso’s brainwashing tactics.

For Rule, I remember suggesting her hat can be made into a giant fort or shelter, but i never meant it was canon, just something i thought would be interesting if she did it. In terms of more support items, probably just everyday objects she could easily throw, like nails and bolts, rubber balls, small bean bags. I also suggested a costume upgrade so that she's covered in some hard plating around her arms and legs that she could detach and throw to supplement her quirk. She can control when an item becomes small or big after touching it, but she has to press her fingertips together to bring it back to original size. If she can time it, then why not a slingshot to improve her long range.

For Emily, its harder for her to move something if its fighting against the force of her quirk, sure you can get one person, but it leaves her defenseless. Controlling another person is best used as mobility support or rescue. For a support item and costume upgrade, I'd add a bunch of white veils or cape that she could use as decoys for herself and restraining others

​@@KaempfdogMinez is pretty cool. Im the ultra analysis book, theres a jeanist column where he ranks him with the 3rd best equipment costume that complements his quirk. His quirk can create propulsion which he could use for super jumps. For support items, i guess just sticky throwable pads like actual mines that can act as trackers in conjunction with his quirk. He could attach it with a hit on it already so he doesnt have to hit the opponent up close. The shield also works pretty well. Having impacts from the back of the shield and detonating it for a shield bash is pretty neat as well as the other additions you suggested

I wouldn't call Monoma's costume all that flashy, tbh. Still love it, tho. As for Yanagi, I never realized before how underpowered her telekinesis is compared to other examples in superhero media. Still, trading power for precision isn't the worst trade-off. The way she uses small items like bolts to get around is genuinely clever. Yeah, Twin Impact has always been one of my favorite powers in the series (probably my favorite in 1-B). Just the concept of controlled momentum is INCREDIBLY broken.

In regards to that Mineta moment this episode, it's a case where I'm less annoyed with the character and more annoyed with Horikoshi just REFUSING to let this character be truly heroic. Like, when I first saw Mineta save Mina like that, I was genuinely impressed and proud of our resident weirdo. Then, the scene continued and I was just 😐. (sigh) At least Mina puts an end to this next episode.

I doubt they'll see this but one thing to remember is even back in season 1 they tell you One For All can NOT be forcibly taken, only forcibly given. That's why Monoma can't use it even if he touches Deku.

No because Montana has a point. I would explain it as instead of calling it Super Power it was Energy Power Control. He was so much energy and force stored that he was not able to use when he was young because his body was not able to handled it. As he grew, the energy in him stockpiled which is why it breaks his body right now. Helps body didn't get to practice when he was younger. This new Power, let's call it Black whip, is converting energy into matter. Energy can become better it just needs a lot of energy, which Deku has a surplus of.

Hitashi Shinso Hero Name: Eraser Head 2.0 (I’m up for suggestions on this.) Quirk: Brainwashing Grade: D Hero Class: Combat/Containment Much like Aizawa, he’s got a POWERFUL gimmick. Not as game breaking as literally ERASING quirk usage, but still ridiculous to completely immobilize someone unless by your command and all they have to do is answer you. Between Aizawa’s binding cloth and his MANUAL USED speaker voice box to mimic people’s voices, this guy has EVERY right being on the hero course. His skill is immense. Yeah he got THROTTLED by Deku, but getting manhandled by the most powerful quirk in the world used by one of the most skilled if not the ACTUAL most skilled kid of the 2 classes is not a big knockdown. Guy was snapping lumber in the school festival with his bare hands, now he’s yanking down gigantic pipes down one handed AND aiming what he yanks down with pretty great accuracy. There’s also him swinging through the pipes. None of the binding cloth makes much sense in physics. But we already knew that when Aizawa battled at the USJ. And we already know Aizawa can fight DOZENS of villains simultaneously. Shinso held his own among the top bruisers, outplayed the smarter strategists, and played into their weaknesses REALLY well. If he can chain his effect of brainwashed people interacting or brainwash multiple people with one line, he’s going to be MUCH stronger. (That’s honestly all I can think of to improve on persona chords which is a CRAZY piece of gear. Maybe some kind of autotune so he’s not going manual as much of a flex as it is to DO that.) We didn’t get to see how complex his control of his brainwashing may have gotten because he hyper focused on physical demonstrations and just freezing people in place for his partners to capitalize on. It also seems like the breaking out of the brainwashing is more effort than in Season 2.

I have immense respect for quirkless fights. Deku is INSANELY strong without a quirk and having Shinso force his hand THAT much with the binding cloth had me SO happy for Shinso. That being said if it were JUST quirkless…I don’t think Shinso would have had a good day unarmed against the one that can pull a freaking TRUCK up a staircase and a full trash pile AND has only gotten stronger

While Monoma could not use the power of One for All due to the stockpiling aspect of it, it does bring up one very interesting question: If he copied One for All and tried to pass it on to someone else would he be able to make a new copy of the quirk in that person? Given the root of OFA is the brother's quirk to pass on quirks and the fact Monoma did confirm that things imbued with the power he uses stay that way even if he changes off that quirk it seems like if he knew the mechanics of it he could cause major chaos if it happened.

He could cause SOME chaos, but not a lot. Part of the stockpiling of OFA is absorbing the quirks, hence why Deku can use the whips. If Monoma passed on OFA, he'd also pass on Copy. Then it comes down to definitions: He passed on Copy definitely, 100%. The effect lasts until afterwards. But he might not actually pass on OFA, if it holds its timer with Copy as the COpy transfers. If it does, then he could pass back and forth Copy, OFA, and two copied quirks, and become a psuedo-AFO alongside a very trustworthy sidekick.

One detail that I think is crucial around the decision to use Blackwhip in combat is the target. When it initially manifests out of control his target is Shinso and then the whole Class B team. If he goes too fast and uses to much power he could accidentally crush someone, which would be horrific and could have serious consequences for a lot of different people even if we assume that Recovery Girl could fix the damage. With that in mind he decides not to use Blackwhip. When he then reverses that decision he is targeting the pipes, which are more durable, and not something he is worried about destroying. It's an opportunity to test his new abilities with minimal risk.

my theory or way of thinking Deku could have gotten away with having, multiple quirks is by saying it is a form of energy manipulation like he uses energy built up within him and turns it into strength It also explains how he keeps getting stronger as he's able to handle more of one for all. black whip could be him releasing that energy and giving it physical form. I don't want to spoil his other quirks but I feel like this would work for the others as well, except for maybe the 6th user's quirk.

Class A Containment Team Izuku Midoriya Hero Name: Deku Quirk: One For All Grade: S Hero Class: Symbol (All 4 classes, literally chosen to be THE symbol) It’s the King of quirks. I called the entire tier OFA contender. As if OFA wasn’t broken enough on JUST stockpile level being charged for 200 years, now we throw in 6 new quirks into the fold. Of course I can’t say what 5 of them are yet. But it’s the perfect inverse of AFO. AFO and OFA have the best versatility and stockpile power. AFO has the better versatility, OFA is the better stockpiler. And we’ve seen NEITHER of their best. (Best we’ve seen was Injured All-Might Mach 30 feats against the 1st Nomu. At least a measurable speed feat. He likely used hysterical strength against AFO for the United States of Smash at Mach 37.5) Deku is still using a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of what this power is truly capable of. (Deku’s 100% is a fraction of All-Might’s 1/60th performance, and still needs to lower THAT down to 20% or lower for his control points.) Obviously the end goal is to master 100% control, awaken each quirk, and claim the prime and even then he can just keep stockpiling no issue. Whether the prime is a fast pass to that control is debatable. Deku with JUST 20% control and access to Blackwhip is INSANE. He just IMMEDIATELY uses it again. (That is INCREDIBLY gutsy) Imagine being 5x stronger, than 60x stronger than THAT. (And when it comes to my theory, you’re still missing another 5x multiplier when it comes to max control.) The potential is absolutely INSANE. He’s ALREADY at the top of his class, although he’s not as fast as Iida, and his 20% isn’t as strong as Todoroki, he is a balanced type right now and perceived as lesser by his class as a result. Though they all know if he DOES see reason to break his arm, they all have to be afraid of him. (Which is what Class B and Deku were lowkey worried about in this fight) I will say that his current 8% in this episode FAR outclasses his 8% performance vs Bakugo and vs Nighteye. (Guy jumped ONCE and covered more than a city block to catch Shinso! He was jumping like 3 stories against Bakugo!) Which I’ll again point to being another clue that his control and his maximum grow simultaneously. (8% in season 3 and early season 4 was about 147 mph, late season 4 and this arc he’s going about 383 mph. There’s the math to back it up in the episodes Deku’s control % goes up and every performance he has SKYROCKETS far beyond a 1 to 1 increase) Guy AIR FLICKS AWAY STEEL PIPES AND CONCRETE SURFACES. 8% max he was kicking down steel and concrete walls. 20% max he’s FLICKING IT AWAY FROM 20 FEET AWAY. (20% is Mach 1.2) And his skill in just about everything is WELL EARNED since he STILL finds a way to always be an underdog. Shinso was excited to fight him again but the MOMENT it became a silent head to head, Deku got to show how he’s the best of the best in 2 short moves. There IS the discussion of equipment but All-Might has essentially discussed with Deku that there will be a point where that won’t ever be necessary purely because his power will be absolutely RIDICULOUS. What could you possibly need when you’re literally the strongest man on the planet. Ochaco Uraraka Hero Name: Uravity Quirk: “Zero Gravity” (DEFINITELY Gravity Control already) Grade: S (natural, no story demand required) Hero Class: Rescue/Combat/Containment Ok so despite the fact I’m not even in the SLIGHTEST convinced zero gravity is her actual quirk, but a mere facet, she’s always been one of the strongest students easy. Today she didn’t do many gravity breaking rules she normally doesn’t do, but she did basically single handedly beat the ENTIRE Class B squad in 3 one shots. She ko’d Yanagi, pinned Kodai, and pinned Monoma in one move each. So this is more a demonstration how good her martial arts and close combat training has earned her. (Casually backhands a locker launched hard enough to crack steel) She might be the weakest of the 5 main students as of this point, but she probably has the most potential outside Deku himself. EASY MVP. I always look forward to seeing what gravity rules she breaks on the side. As of now, it’s decrease gravity, increase gravity, changing gravity’s natural direction, giving objects a gravitational pull, and create atmospheres she employs these rules in. (We’ve also seen signs that she might be getting SPREAD in how she performed in the Overhaul base) She took a building destroying force to the face with hardly a mark on her. So I’d say either her or Iida is the best at TAKING hits right now of the 5. (I still suspect she might be able to resist pressure providing a better defense) If there’s a NEW one to explore today it would be picking and choosing different rules for different objects. She likely had to reinstate her zero gravity on Monoma after releasing him and Deku but it’s POSSIBLE she could find a way to drop her effect on Deku while maintaining it on Monoma and other objects. Her recoil appears to be vertigo, and not weight limit. This is a really important difference because weight limit has a hard cap and vertigo is just as completely in her control as Todoroki’s fire or ice recoils depending how she uses her power. (Only rapid back and forth fluctuations appear to make her sick.) For equipment it’s hard to find something but if spread is going to be more important going forward, maybe she can have some kind of stretching equipment that she can start a spread effect from multiple locations from and not through one. She’s as usual an under appreciated beast. Mina Ashido Hero Name: Pinky Quirk: Acid Grade: C to B Hero Class: Combat I want to just push this to B grade, but we’ve never seen her just make massive spread moves...or any special moves really in general. Gonna be hard to explore a lot of that because, you know. Lethal force nessities and all. She definitely has one of the deadlier quirks. She can easily melt holes in buildings. And she controls her viscosity down to a %. Which she totally got from Deku. (He’s shouted % a FEW times.) She’s much more focused on movement than any power output right now. But she’s definitely not 2nd from the bottom like she was in final exams. I think she’s trying to throw in dancing into her combat for her close combat. She’s a much better performer but she REALLY needs to explore bigger moves to be a better competitor. We actually don’t even know what her recoil is at this point. She’s using her quirk constantly in short and long fights alike and she’s never found her limit. So she has REALLY strong quirk longevity. For equipment she needs a long range implementation. Like a big water gun with several nozzles for a variety of settings. And disarming villains should be PRETTY easy with how she literally eats up robots in no time flat. I think she also lacks some durability and needs SOME kind of defense. She just goes ALL in on speed and her mobility. But you’d need a lot of Acid for that Man. Minoru Mineta Hero Name: Grape Juice Quirk: Pop-Off Grade: D Hero Class: Containment/Detective/Rescue He ALMOST made it through the entire battle without any perving. But he’s gotten WAY better self control. We went an entire arc without incident and he…had to wait until there wasn’t 100% proof on how he angled Mina’s defense at a distance. Well that is the FINAL Mineta incident. So let’s just purely talk about his quirk and field performance. His skill with his quirk is STILL really overlooked by many. To be able to calculate how to bounce off his balls THAT easily (this is a hard section to write without just succumbing to Beavis and Butthead mindset.) and quickly to the point of ACTIVELY prevent movement for a the entire combo squad of the Class B team, he’s already bouncing as fast as Hawks. (So let’s say 230-250mph according to his wiki which I can assume is his casual speed and not what he’s using against gigantic city destroying threats. This is one of nuggets I got from Tobofu in extra MHA media) He’s making shapes and weapons out of his balls now. Shields, nets, I think I saw him testing out a whip a few seasons ago. He’ll NEVER be destructive but his on the fly thinking and just how CRAZY he is with physics calculations to bounce like that is INSANE. We’ve seen his balls can hold entire bridges up in the 1st episode of season 5. And he can throw enough to DO that in the timing of a bridge collapsing. And when he IS serious he really is often making a lot of good points and observations. I think he could be able to control when they bounce or stick in time and not just in accordance to himself for his bigger nuance. And since he has long distance and accuracy covered, I’d go for a hammer that would complement an upgrade just like that. Would probably be pretty close to a looney toons effect at that juncture. Gotta give him credit where I can. And then say maybe get some medication or seeing someone for more self control. (He’s gained some but needs more)

It does need to be said that hawks was flying in a confined area and mineta had all the balls set up to bounce. Still impressive though. Also, in the mha fighting game, mina does use some capoeira esque dance moves to incorporate with spreading the acid

With the Mineta moment in this episode, I'm less annoyed with the character and more annoyed with Horikoshi just refusing let Mineta be cool. When I first watched this episode and saw Mineta come to Mina's rescue like that, I was genuinely surprised and proud of our resident weirdo. Then the scene continued, and I was like 😐. Aw, well, at least Mina puts an end to this in a couple of episodes.

As much as I love the power and the hero, if we're talking who Shinso is better than, easily Koda. Koda has a high ceiling but his improvement is lackluster compared to his classmates. Shino also has a very high ceiling, the show makes seem like he has more drive, and he is already on even footing with Koda.

To be fair to Monoma, because his power is to copy, he probably has a lot of practice tempering the power he releases from quirks he copies and researches quirks in detail whenever he can kinda like Deku. Likewise he probably is very fit considering he managed to pass the entrance exam with a quirk that can't do anything on its own. Remember even after all his training with All MIght, Deku still wasn't a great deal fitter than his classmates, he barely out paced Ochaco in the 100 meter dash. Monoma probably could have handled using full cowl from OFA and it looks like that was how he was trying to implement the power.
