On July 15th, 1982, Monomania played a set live in Daily Planet Studios in N.Y.C. It was video taped by Michael "Zoot Damnit" Finamore, who does a stellar job of light-flashing here. We didn't play on our own equipment, and it was very, very hot and cramped... but we rocked it like Conrad Birdie, anyway.
This song proudly features the use of Monomania's go-to lyric, "...hey man, what the hey?" and a curiously intrusive photographer. During the guitar solo, Brian & Mike display some stunning dance moves, as well. I, myself, am in full, "Roger Daltry shirtless mode."
Monomania was a band in N.Y.C. from 1980 through 1984 that played with all it's heart. The lineup was: Tony Cultreri - lead guitar, Joe Fiori - drums, Brian Lynch - bass and Mike Tugetman - guitar. "Kids" was written by Lee Adams & Charles Strouse. Mike sang the lead.
