A joy to watch. Looks like you did a lot of practice runs or, you're really that good. I'm just starting to use game gear for my race and other vehicle related sims. Had a G27 for a while and just got me a Thrustmaster flight hotas x and combined the two in a few games. I must say, it lifts the games to an higher level. Wished I did it sooner. ***** yeah but 2d tv screen doesn't give you those sense of speed like oculus does. if game has instument cluster and all that stuff then you will see it with oculus too. You can sense the real SIZE of cockpit and the driving road and you can also turn your head when turning you car to see better view just like a real driving. look at all the impression people who tried project cars,rbr,assetto corsa,rfactor 2 with oculus. they are amazed by it. if you haven't try, im sure you are probably confused with 3dtv, you need to do some research about what is virtual reality.

What do you mean by real FOV? His FOV is spot on.

its too narrow and distorted, not like what it would look like in real life. To achieve real FOV, you have to set the FOV of the game to match the FOV of your eyes to the screen, then its realistic. The default FOV of the game is usually around 60 degrees, where as to make it real it has to be around 20 degrees give or take 10 depending on your setup (how far away you sit from the monitor and how big your monitor is). The difference when you do switch it is amazing, feels much more real, trying to drive with 60 degrees for me now is just ridiculous, can't judge distance or anything. Search "rfactor FOV tutorial" in google and "zeospantera rfactor" on youtube and youll see what I mean.

Roman Irlin I'm familiar with the whole FOV concept, I did my research too and I think I have a pretty critic eye towards what looks right or not, and the FOV of that pantera guy would only work out in a 5 screen setup, otherwise you'd lose way too much field of view.

Actually the hardware his using is not even expensive or top tier. Seems to be a modded G27 with a TH8 RS shifter. Many people have much more expensive stuff. In this case the poster just did a really good job of modding and organizing it into a nice rig.
