Hi! Thank you for explaining the difference of each surround speakers. I been using a dipole speakers for side surround for more than 22 years in my hometheater . I like the surround effect it does. Today I cleaned the speakers and I removed the cloth covers. I didn't notice that they have different woofers on each side when I removed. One side has cone shaped on the woofer and the other is just plane woofer. Both side has alluminium dome tweeter. Now I'm not sure which one is the right or eft speaker when putting it back on the wall . The speaker is not labelled and I don't have the manual anymore. By any chance Do you know what is the cone shape on the woofer of the speaker and its purpose. The speaker is Energy eXL-R surround .It's a dipole speaker only. Please reply. . Thank you in advance!

If setting by surround speaker, since my intention isn't to know where is the sound come from. Dipole is the better choice, isn't?... Thanks for the excellent explanation, sir.

Or, try setting the speaker flush against the wall and pointing it at the ceiling. Best omnidirectional sound i've heard so far.

So a Bipole doesn't have that left and right sticker and the Dipole does right?

Yes. from what I have seen. Di poles have the switch.
