Something I wanna try is to have one player be mr. Monopoly throughout the entire game. Like, maybe they are the bank and mr. Monopoly so they can't buy property or have their own money. I don't know, I haven't fully developed the idea yet.

I just ordered this version for my girlfriend and I; she has notoriously bad luck in Monopoly, so I was intrigued by this version and wanted to see what fun it could hold in store for us, so I searched it up here on KZbin. Would anyone be able to help? Can mr monopoly place a hotel on a property when someone roles a double and a street has four houses... despite the full colour set not being complete with houses? Also regarding mortgaging... do you still have to sell your houses back to the bank before mortgaging in this edition?

I mean I guess you can, some of the chance or community chest cards would be useless though. And a waste of the coins.

Only if you know the original rules by heart and know which Chance/Community Chest cards are substitutes. In general, it would be more convenient to just get an original set. My main problem with this set is the art design. The cards, etc. are difficult to read due to the dark backgrounds. (FWIW, I need bifocals!)
