Ah, Schumaker Road. (I might have mispelled that.) I remember driving up and down that road a thousand times. lol I actually came *this* close to working on the Monorail. Was assigned to it and everything, but got changed at the last minute and was sent to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It was pretty funny when people asked me what the ride was like and I told them I had never been on it. (I get motion sick.)

They don't let you sit in front anymore at WDW due to security concerns. I used to always sit in front.

So I'll ask a dumb question - I was in Downtown Disney last year (I've never been to DL) and was going to ask to see if I could ride the monorail without paying for park admission (kind of like from TTC to MK or EPCOT) but I didn't and am kicking myself... can you ride it w/o park admission (I didn't get to Downtown Disney until 9 PM or something like that which is why I wasn't going into the park)?

No you dont need an admission or permission to ride the monorail. If you go to the Bus station on the Marketplace side, they have transportation to every resort/park free of admission. You'll need to get to one of the deluxe hotels that has a monorail stop. (Grand FA, Polynesian & Contemporary) You can ride the monorail free of cost as long as you want. If you want to ride the Epcot Monorail, take a bus from DTD to the TTC. If you're talking DisneyLAND I would imagine it would be the same as well.

Meg B, Disney World is loads better than Disneyland already, and it will be even better than that once Tron opens at Magic Kingdom, Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios, the gondolas between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and all the amazing stuff in the Epcot overhaul. I didn’t include Galaxy’s Edge, as it will be opening at both.
