BTS doesn't treat hiphop as a mere concept like a lot of other kpop groups

The only group in kpop industry that respect hip hop culture straight is BTS They even went to length to come to USA to create a program to learm it from warren g, and other hiphop adults that y i really hate when other kpop fandom disrespect the boys... Yh they are human with mistake but still learn and try to better themselves... From wordsplay, rhythm, flow, melody they got them all

Yes, when other companies or groups use hip hop as an asthetic rather than a true message. You never see bts wearing a durag or cornrows. Its the love of the culture that translates to true hip hop heads not the clothes or hairstyles they wear. Thats why I ❤ BTS
@moreshige4 жыл бұрын
That's not true at all. There many Korean artists who respect hip hop culture. Check out stuff from Dean, Jay Park, Tiger JK, Zico, Dok2, Tablo, Crush and Bewhy for starters.
@REChronic544 жыл бұрын
@@moreshige well op did say "kpop". I don't think I'd categorize any of the artists you mentioned as kpop. In general, idols learn to rap but that doesn't mean they know hip hop culture.

@@REChronic54 Yes, I understand ya. Jay Park is one dude who did a lot of "Kpop" though.
@MONQTV4 жыл бұрын
Wether the artist is Kpop or not is never the issue IF they have gone so far as to learn, embrace, and respect the Culture at all corners and make the decision within themselves that this is a movement they want to be in WHOLE of, that would make them either a HipHop head or at the least a lover of the Culture. It is only an issue when the rapper or artist of any of the elements is manufactured either by an agency or self manufactured for the sake of gaining without paying the dues or the homage. Jay park may have done allot of Kpop for reasons unknown but could have been and may well be a huge lover of HipHop Culture as many artist out there have done. Who knows a manufactured artist may decide to dive deeper and say "Wait, I've been doing this all wrong, How can I become a part of the bigger picture? Lil Wayne did this when they abducted him into Zulu a few years back by 9th Wonder and Qtip. You just have to dig and let the culture do the rest. It will find those who look for it truly. ▶MANY DON'T KNOW that BOTH JHope & Jimin (BOTH Main Dancers), began as very young teens street poppin'/hip-hop dancers & both won many street/underground freestyle dance battles, listening to hip-hop legends & both took dance classes, well known in their towns.. Jimin was called "Rising Star Of Busan" after a festival performance, JHope won a Nat'l hip-hop competition 2008, at only 14/15 yrs old!! JHope/older/longer street experience = Dance Leader, Jimin/younger/longer classes experience & *4* types of Martial Arts experience, so does most of the hard stunts/aerials, so they both knew hip-hop pretty well,, but from RM & Suga (who were deep into underground rap taught at 12/13 (but were teen writers/poets--turned--lyrics/melodies from 11/12 yrs old in their towns) JHope learned so much more & he's very musical, so picked it up really well..He's got his own awesome rap/sing flow (amazing in *"Outro-Tear"-Wembley* ) &: Suga said Jimin could be good if he delved in deeper into rap/confidence, wants to do a hard rap song w/him ( *Suga + Jimin-"Tony Montana"-Live* is cool)😊

Hip Hop Lover is one of my favourite songs. I am loving your reaction. BTS started as a Hop Hop group and then the boss changed his mind to be an Idol group. I read somewhere that Hobi was going to be a vocalist, and Jin, the visual who could neither sing or dance, was to be trained to rap. But It didn't work for Jin so Hobi volunteered to train as a rapper and Jin learned to sing. Hobi still sings on some tracks and has a very emotive voice. He sings the intro on Spring day which is the most sad and passionate of songs. And Jin sings magnificently. I think they both did exceptionally well

Their authenticity, passion and compassion are seeds that led to the organic growth of a world-wide community. ARMY is more than a simple fandom where admiration flows only from fan to idol. ARMYs look upon fellow ARMYs as family. It's all about the community, so I guess in that respect whether BTS is at any given time performing Pop, R&B or Rap, we are all grounded by their Hip-Hop roots.

Monq !!! I’m so happy that you’re finally gonna do this song! This is on my top 5 of all BTS songs (and that includes the ones the boys put out for free on Spotify for us)! I am an ARMY NOONA (NUNA) meaning an older woman who is ARMY (to be exact I just turned 41 last month) and the first time I heard this song and read the lyrics it made me tear-up with happiness and tyt TV from all the nostalgia that came at me like a tidal wave. It also made me proud to see my boys 💪🏽 flexin’ their knowledge of HipHop (not just Rap but Dance, composition and History too ?! WHOO! I was a goner)! When RM says “cuz it’s HIPHOP! In response to people asking why he has so much love for HipHop culture &!when he names all those artists and albums an proceeds to that was it! That was when I became the real me.” GOOSEBUMPS! I was so taken a back. I guess you could say I was Jungshook! Lol and the way Hobi incorporates Dance &Rap together saying it shaped his body(really his whole being one might argue) & then says before there was a “Hope World” he had “Cole World...again... GOOSE BUMPS! And finally Suga saying how back in grade school he proclaimed that he was gonna be a rapper... cute. But when he said that we was buried so deep in this culture and if that was a sin then he would die 100 times over! MONQ that just reaffirmed what I knew all along. These boys were meant for this. Again thanx for doing this!!!

I did not put the entire albums there because I wanted to catch him up for the Map of the soul album listen. I also made an entirely separate file for Storyline so he wouldn't get spoiled too much All this stuff is placed in a specific order so he can catch up before diving into the storyline. I sent him the entire discography I just re-arranged them so He could get some background, get to the popular requests, do map of the soul and then circle back to do the storyline and the rest of the discography. IDK if that makes sense

Army 🚨🚨🚨🚨 Does anyone knows here where I can find the 'We Are Bulletproof pt. 1 & 2 + Hip Hop Lover Live (Wings Tour Memories 2017) video??? Or the whole concert that includes that live performance??? I founded the Cypher Medley on Dailymotion and I also have it myself and send it to Monq but I don't have that one, HE NEEDS TO SEE THAT! I will appreciate it if you send me the link or something. The fact that the video was copyrighted by BH and had 5.2M views, INSANE Edit: AHHHH I found it on daily motion!!! It's the first part of the WINGS concert Memories 2017 and it's about 25min I'm gonna send it. But if you found that performance somewhere I else I will appreciate that 💜
