Lovely saunter through Monschau. No crowds, peaceful, pretty lanterns and gorgeous architecture. Fell asleep twice looking at this so had to rewind and finish today! :D

Monschau is near the Belgium border. I visited there with family several years ago. It is very nice to see during the daytime.

Hier kom ik al zowat heel mijn leven geloof ik. Fantastisch mooi stadje en de omgeving is ook niet bepaald lelijk. Ik hoop dat je ook een overdagversie hebt. De Eifel is een schitterend mooi gebied. Maria Laach en klooster al eens bezocht? Het is de grootste vulkaankrater gevuld met water; een Maar. De vulkaan die eronder zit is nog niet uitgedoofd en zal ergens in de toekomst opnieuw uitbarsten. Op sommige plekken komt nog CO2 gas omhoog in het water. Er zijn nog andere interessante Maren. De Lavakeller in Mendig is interessant; oude basaltmijn waar die zeshoekige basaltpilaren werden gedolven om molenstenen van te maken. In Wallenborn is een koudwatergeiser die regelmatig water spuit. Vlakbij is een imkerij met lokale honing. Zeer aanbevelingswaardig is de Teufelsschlucht bij Irrel.
