I'm genx. I was bullied daily in grade school and jr high. I wasnt a fast runner and they always got me. Until one day my friend told me i needed to stop running. I did and i turned around and let lose on one of them, wiped my nose which did get hit once and after he backed down, i challenged his two friends. They backed off. The whole time, my buddy cheering me on but not joining in. Never got bullied again. I cant imagine the cyberbullying that happens now. I realize that bullies have other issues but those who are being bullied suffer untold pain because of their actions. Ending bullying starts with the parents.

I had a chicken with a hurt leg a few months back. I had to hand feed her also and make sure she drank; gave her electrolytes in water. I gave her plain yogurt with black seed oil mixed in, as well as dried oregano with her scratch. She seemed most interested in protein ie: black sunflower seeds , meal worms and boiled eggs. It took her about 3 weeks to want to join the others. She's good now but still has a limp which improved over time. I hope your little chicken gets better! I don't know the cause of her hurt leg but thought maybe what I did might help. ❤🤞

When I lived in Tucson; I collected some of each of all the Pretty Grasses I liked from a long the side of the Highway. I'd take the whole Clump. Grasses Grow in small Clumps. and come in many colors ; And I'd toss the whole clump in my yard. And then they do what they do. and plant them self. Get them when they are seeding. Natural Works the best I think. 😇🥰🌵🌾🌾🌾🌵🌵

As a person with Autism I was bullied a lot. I was diagnosed with high functioning autism. I had my own ways of learning and seeing things in a more clear path. I was always bored in school got in trouble for not doing my homework but always tested high on tests without any studies. I have a passion for math. Also anything with an engine. Love electrical problem solving but never learned it I’m all self taught. My son also was diagnosed with high functioning autism. I’ve always knew I was different but didn’t know why. Autism power we unite!!!!!!!

The same with me and it was my daughter's diagnosis a couple of years ago that helped me make sense of my life. Here I am at seventy finally understanding why life was so hard and I was picked on and bullied so much. Not sure it is worth getting a diagnosis so late in life, but just knowing that it is likely helps me cope. Really the only way any of it makes sense.

Late in the afternoon, my husband and I used to sit with our chickens. We learned most of their calls and mannerisms. Still say WHEN you both get a chance look into reversing your catchment system to fill the cistern completely and use the poly tanks as the over flow backups using a sump pump to send the over flow to them. Starting by emptying them completely everytime they’re full in the cistern till it’s full making the cistern your main feed tank.

Thank you so so much for your introduction of the chicken problem to convey the message of the problem of bullying in human and the animal kingdom. Because it's a trait of our nature and if one way of getting the bully to stop doesn't work then a separation of some sort whether physical or mental is the next step. Jesse you have used your platform again to initiate positive and progressive action and it's greatly appreciated.

Lived 9 years in the high dessert when we first got married and had kids and really did not care for the air, dry winds crackling energy and such, but your photography of the monsoons make them look so gorgeous and otherworldly. Also the discussion of Autism was interesting and well thought out. I was considered an odd/weird person when younger, but have learned to be successful in having a good attitude regardless and gained strength from my trials. My mom was helpful with that and the sticks and stones adage always reminded me and was kind of a shield. I do cherish my alone time and hanging with my dogs and the animals around my garden. :D Love all the projects you all are working on! Thanks for sharing.

Very well spoken Jess. Your sharing of bullying are heightened with the example of your chickens. Humans are animals and behave just like animals. With awareness, education, and self willpower to change healing is possible. Unlike some chickens that are continuously aggressive eventually end up in a pot of boiling water, becoming a tasty dish.

Autistic people are very interesting people----very insightful---and have a lot to offer, they enrich society..Bullies are cowards..crass--.lack empathy---and miss out on the joys and satisfaction of being at peace with others and building something great for themselves---based on what they're blessed with. Life isnt a competition--on that basis failure is the only outcome-and that's a loss for everyone, We are different for a reason.
