I know that Monsta X is popular and successful both in Korea and internationally and very well respected in and out of the industry by people who do know them, but I HATE when people try to downplay Monsta X's success and achievements and pretend like they're just some unknown and unpopular group waiting to disband or a group that flopped and tries too hard to stay relevant when that is SO far from the truth smh... Let's just hope people will finally stop sleeping on them and give them the recognition and popularity they've always deserved, especially after everything they had to go through for no reason at all!

Monsta X is probably the most criminally under rated group out there right now. They are legit one of the best groups in Kpop today, and have been for a while. They deserve so much more recognition! I stand by that! Monsta X is insane!

its criminal that monsta x are underrated after everything they've been through and the fact that they have been very popular during earlier years in their career but for some reason they're losing that hype they once had. they're so underappreciated and people don't realize how much they've influenced K-pop with their unique sounds and INCREDIBLE RAPLINE (not to even mention the vocals cos ohmygod.) I assure you you will gain nothing but pleasure by listening to their discography

I wouldn't say that they are losing the hype and popularity they once had tbh, I'd say they're even more popular and successful now than they were before and you can see it in their numbers and their awards and all the gigs they've had and were invited for, and especially their Korean fanbase has grown immensely and had never been bigger! They're now within the top 5 most well known and best charting boy groups in Korea and won a Daesang and topped the Billboard chart at number 5 too among other achievements and each comeback and album of theirs is more successful than the next I'd say, Rush Hour alone won 5 awards at music shows for one comeback and they'll continue to break their own records I'm sure! @@Kalakeiko you're right yeah, maybe it just feels like that because the new gen of stans have no clue who most 3rd gen groups really are 😭 and newer kpop stans in general and there's new ones every day and majority only get into the popular relevant groups yk, and MX has been keeping mostly quiet besides promotions for albums and solos, they've really just been doin their own thing for the last few years. it just feels like a o many people downplay how much influence they've had on the industry just cos they're not like top charting every week touring every other year etc etc etc, which sucks because I don't want them to have to overwork themselves for no reason when they don't even want to when they've worked damn well hard enough to get the amount of recognition and respect that they deserve.

The main "problem" and reason why it seems like no one is acknowledging Monsta X and why they might not seem to be popular is because their fanbase is older and more mature and tends to show their support by buying their albums and merch and going to concerts, while younger fans, especially those for the 4th gen are way more obsessed with streaming numbers, voting and hyping up their faves on social media to get them trending. I agree that especially fans that are new to Kpop will most likely get into the groups with the most social media popularity and think that the ones that have lower numbers are less popular and successful and they won't bother looking into their actual success, which is definitely frustrating, especially with how competitive the Kpop community and industry is. But I do think it's better to just focus on appreciating your faves and letting them know you support them and care about them rather than focusing on numbers or worrying about whether or not they are popular and successful, as long as they are healthy and happy with their lives and careers, there's nothing to worry about in my opinion! They're still here and still doing great and they never once gave up and got back up everytime, that's all that matters! :)

They are actually pretty popular, even now in this generation. It's just that their fans are generally older, more mature, and aren't as obsessed with announcing their allegiance to Monsta X like some other fandoms are. Monbebes are there, just typically more silent than other fandoms.

They are the very, very best. La crème de la crème. This isn't kpop, but far beyond. They defy genre, they got style and vibe. Nothing matches their songs. They are the only band that I keep listening to, song after song. This is art. I do listen to other Kpop songs from different artists but MX are on to something completely different. In a way they remind me of Depeche Mode for their originality, trendsetting, leather wear, genre bending.
