I love how they ask the host questions back and you can see all of them are trying their best. Especially since all 5 members are now established hosts in korea and they have so much insight to give, I wonder if they actually put on a serious interpreter not just Changkyun, the answers of all members may be as deep as the questions being asked. I'd love to hear about that because no one asks these questions in korean variety shows

They had an interpreter here (you can hear them sometimes translating the questions or just clarifying things), but all the members have improved so much with their English. They can understand most of what is being asked, they just need support sometimes when giving longer answers. I was very impressed by how they seemed to be giving very thoughtful answers where they were trying to be as honest as possible and helping each other out with completing their sentences. Especially liked when Jooheon said "Don't go up, just look forward and go straight" in regards to success and Minhyuk mentioned that its shared (not just personal).

I looooove the fact, that you also ask about No Limit, the korean Album. Maybe they didn't have a hand in the making of the Dreaming, but you can see how talented they are listening to their korean albums where they do participate. Also, The Dreaming sounds like them, All About Love sounds like them, cause they put so much of them in everything they do, and that's why we loved them so much.

I really like what Jooheon said. "Don't go up, just look forward, go straight." If you go up you can go down but if you go straight you have no reason to turning back. there were a LOT of parts in the interview where the interviewers and mx were confused. (for the track "secrets.") #1. secret - japanese track on japanese album #2. secrets - an english track on a korean album #3. secrets - english track on english album hyungwon wrote secrets (#2) by himself in korean, and wanted to challenge himself writing in english. (a member said he later consulted for help.) shout out to mx. learning new language isn't easy and very confusing. confidence and efforts are key as they said! sse still should've hired a translator tho.

It makes me feel some type of way that they dont think they are successful, I wish they could see from our perspective just how much they have accomplished since their debut, how talented they are and most importantly I will like them to know that things like billboard or grammys are not the only things that makes someone successful, but making things that are meaningful to the people who listens to it IS being a successful artist, many singers have #1 songs that are empty and popular for a moment and then forgotten, I think that to all monbebes everything Monsta does is something that we are going to treasure for many more years and even after they retire because they do it from their hearts and always thinking about us, to me that is so much more special and what being an artist truly means. Love u guys, I hope you never change your humble, kind and beautiful hearts.

It is funny that in every interview that they have in Korea I.M barely speaks, but in the USA Daniel just can not shut up. I love it!!! But also I want to listen to all of them. hyungwon felt so proud telling that now he writes songs, and I am happy that he acknowledged his ability. he is truly the most talented member with no doubt. as a monbebe, I can say this. eventhough another members are the main vocalist, the main dancer, and the main rapper, he can dance like a main dancer, dj like an expert, model, act, ahh even he is a good entertainer.

And if they don't reach that dream which is rare for Kpop will they not be fulfilled? I think some of this was a bit lost in translation. What I took from it is that they don't feel successful necessarily cause they don't really feel they know what success is or means. They're just focused on doing a good job for their fans, families, and company. If perhaps they did things like the AMAs or topped billboard they suggest "maybe" they'd feel successful then but even then it seems more like they don't really know what'll do it, just that those may be things that make them feeel that way. Yet I still took that they feel good about what they've done/are doing since their families are proud and they're still going strong. Just make takeaway anyway.

No. You got it wrong. They don’t feel successful not because they don’t win awards or didn’t get to attend huge events. It’s because their numbers are not doing so well compared to other kpop groups with the similar seniority. You see, they don’t chart high, their albums and merch don’t sell well, even their current arena tours aren’t selling out tickets. Whereas Ateez who is a younger group already has multiple soldout arenas.

I enjoyed alll the interview: the interviewer asked interesting questions that fans and the general public appreciate to know because the questions were about the album, the process, the guys telling they didn't write the songs but they involved in the process, about their movie, favorite songs from the album... also, the deep questions were interesting too because we knew about their meaning of success and their point of view about to be famous, about to behave in public and to be an idol and the consequences. Hi Zach (and Team!), this was another lovely and in depth interview. You have awesome communication skills, which I can clearly see in the way you can talk and interact with all these artists from different countries (I mean cultural differences and language barriers etc...) - so props to you :-) What I enjoy so much in your interviews by comparison to many other American interviews is, that you care so much for the people sitting in front of you. For example the questions about inner motivational factors or the "why"-questions after some of the short answers, makes your talks stand out. Somewhat like a real deep conversation between two close friends. That's probably why your quests feel so welcome in your interviews. Did you know, that a few other interviewers tried "inviting" themselves somewhere with Monsta X? The typical answer is usually a "NO" followed by a grumpy remark by the members. But the way they promised to tour-guide you in Seoul shows how comfy they were with you (this and many other positive comments from the members towards you and your team). I also wanted to thank you for mentioning the seven members. You didn't show the members reactions so I can only speculate how confused they must have been for you to mention the two members missing. It is truly sad how their company Starship handled this whole "scandal" and how they are cutting/cropping/deleting/blurring Wonho out of everything... Anyway THANK YOU so much for another long, inspirational, funny yet so deep interview with Monsta X! I hope you can share a vlog, if you do your promised tour in South Korea

You got so much empathy and appreciation and I am thankful for that:) Sometimes when I see their English interview, I could feel they are nervous and that made me uncomfortable watching them. Such a good interview. Thank you Zach Sang and everyone. So proud of MonstaX. I am very impressed with the other members speaking so much English. That has to be so scary not knowing the language and stepping out of their comfort zone. I went into the interview thinking that the speaker would most likely be I.M.and I was pleasantly surprised when all the members spoke English too.

I loved every part of this interview, particularly diving deep into how they feel about success. Monbebe have been so fortunate to witness their growth over the past 7 years - each Korean comeback has surpassed the one prior and it's something to be incredibly proud of. It's a few more days until we find the results of The Dreaming for Billboard and I hope that we're able to make Monsta X feel proud. I know it's made me smile seeing so many positive comments and reactions to the album and the movie on social media. Zach - I.Ms album Duality released earlier this year is fantastic, and also check out Joohoney's solo album released October 2020 - two totally different music styles, but both full of their raw emotions and so, so much hard work.

I'm late but I.M looks like a CEO here and I'm absolutely here for it. Also Monsta X is so incredibly talented and their songs sound so different! For me personally I don't get attracted to a lot of groups because they don't really have that unique feeling to their songs, like you KNOW it's their style, but Monsta X has captured that feeling so well and it's just a shame that they're not more popular. Same with Oneus.💝

I can't believe they have 2 English albums, their first album was extraordinary, I love it and this second album is even better. I played their first English album regularly for a couple of months and now whenever I listen to their second English album I can't help but gravitate towards the first English album as well. Also side note, I really loved this interview, Monsta X English has improved a lot and their confidence in speaking it has grown as well but as a bilingual speaker myself I know there's times when we forget a word but the interviewers were so patient in letting each member finish their thoughts and I'm sure they all appreciated that since they all seemed comfortable.

Also talking about kdramas, Mr. Sunshine is a great kdrama it even had my mom on the edge of her seat, it's on Netflix just in case anyone wants to watch it. I also recommend Reply 1988, it's one of my favorites.
