You can tell this kid's played Monster Hunter. The lion-like creature at 40 seconds has that little micro-sketch up in the corner that is almost identical in style to the glyph-ish icons for monsters in Monster Hunter. You go, Michael!

Atta boy. He’s one of us. What I’ve learned is it mostly comes down to imagination. When I design an alien or whatever the question I get the most is “how did you think that up?” That question has never meant anything to me because I’ve been imagining these things in my head naturally ever since I can remember. It’s the way our mind works. This dude is no different. Well other than the skill level. He’s way better than I am and I’m twice his age. Respect.

I'm always torn when I see someone who's younger than me that's a way better artist than I am. On the one hand, it shows that, if he can do it, I can definitely achieve that if I put my mind to it. On the other, well, he's way better than me. Let's go ahead and focus on the former....

I'm not sure when the film will be released, but, there is a trailer online right now. Except, it's on Oculus Rift for some reason. You can still watch it on KZbin though.

In life we have a lot of limits a lot of rules restrictions. No matter how difficult or impossible something seems don't let it limit your creativity don't ever say I can't. Always push harder and higher creation artistic ability raw talent or talent gained from years are the same devotion in the face of challenge. Not even the sky should tell you you have a boundary because the moment you do you shut yourself in a box you may never get out of. So find that expression that art that you love and climb ever higher reaching beyond the limits of what you can do and watch as the world brightens and the sun rises around you. - Me

these days kids have ipads to draw on and soon there will be more drawing tablets that are actually affordable like surface pro 3. the kids who grow up will be amazing artist in the future.

Not all art is on a computer though. I saw this guy on twitter (@lc_beall) who did this weird sculpture using a butternut squash! From what I could tell he's only done it once or twice before which is amazing considering the detail he's put on the sculpture. He's 16 so he hasn't even joined a college to do it officially yet or at least until like September or something.

Charcoal Pit yeah of course there will be exceptions. But most will be able to use an ipad and a digital pen. The results are much much faster and you can correct your errors much faster to. The progress you will be able to make on a digital tablet is just amazing. I uses to draw a lot when I was a kid. Stopped completely for many years. Tried a wacom tablet... man after a few weeks only I was able to draw things I couldn´t imagine.
