You can reach the door activated by the bell without the Lion dash. The windmill rotating parts work as platforms.

here's something i discovered when messing around with different forms and game mechanics. at 29:18 you use the lion to go down into the abandoned mines which leads into the volcano. and with the lion you can't stop as you descend all the way down. however, once you get your dragon form you can go back to that and use both lion and dragon forms to go upward through the mines. what i did was zig zag along with the lion going from one side to the other as i fell. at the volcano entrance use the lion to jump and dash up. you'll need to fiddle with both lion and dragon to go back up. i usually double jump and dash up with the lion, then at the height i turn to the dragon to fly up higher. sometimes you'll land on blocks on a wall, sometimes not. but having the path i made angled it makes it easier to platform up, then you can smash tons more blocks in the abandoned mine for more coins. i used the lion's side dash for that. so it's not something you have to do kind of neat. so if you wanna try it out go ahead.

this is in regards to my other comment about the lion, dragon, and the abandoned mine/volcano entrance. previously when i did it i did NOT have the dragon talisman so my flight was limited. now that i have the talisman for unlimited flight i went back and did it again. now the reason i zig zag from side to side on the way down with the lion is so on the way back up you'll have blocks to stand on. then use the lion to dash from side to side clearing out blocks. and you'll have to jump and dash up as well depending on what blocks are left and where, standing room, etc. having the dragon talisman you can now fly all the way back up to the very top where you enter the mine if you really want to. don't fly in with the dragon or it kills you. i think you glitch into the blocks above because they reset. but if you get to the top with the dragon and quickly transform into lion and dash up at the very top you can enter the previous part above but you'll immediately fall back down, then it resets the mine allowing you to clear it out again. also, trying to clear out the entire was a wee bit lengthy so i came up with an idea for a challenge. try seeing how long it takes you to clear the ENTIRE mine from the bottom to the part at the top where you fall in and enter it not counting the section above with the save spot and bat. now this challenge isn't for setting records or anything, i just think it could be a fun challenge to see if you can clear the whole thing out. although if people really wanted to speed run the challenge for a best time then i suppose they could if they really wanted to. anyhoosers, that's it. feel free to try it out if you're bored. and if you do time it lemme know how long it took. * edit * i forgot 3 things. #1 wear your ice boots for when you hit the lava at the volcano entrance at the bottom so you don't burn your feetsies(ouchies). #2 if you clear out a big section and you have literally a few blocks left on either side you can use the dragon to fly under, switch to lion real fast and dash up the instant you do to nab those blocks. #3 if you decide to try and do a speed run challenge don't start your timer from the bottom. fly to the highest layer with dragon first, then start the timer for the challenge at the top working your way down.

lucky you! you get another comment! HOORAY!! figured i'd leave another one instead of adding to my already massive wall of text that is my 2nd comment. anyway, i just tried to time myself and i managed to do it in about 11 minutes and 50 seconds. i may try again to see if i can beat it. and here's a protip. when using the lion to dash up and you break a block or two, you have to land before dashing up again. however, if there's only a few stray blocks remaining from a section you could try standing on top and using the morning star. using the dragon form comes in handy so if you break them you could fly over to other stray blocks and break them real fast with the morning star. anyway, i hope you enjoy and hopefully this comes in handy for anyone who decides to take on my challenge. * edit * this is nothing important, but by doing this you'll rack up plenty of coins, so at least you'll get a nice chunk of change out of it. * 2nd edit * remember to keep an eye on the bar for the lion's dash * 3rd edit * after a few attempts i managed to knock my time down to about 8 minutes and 2 seconds or so.

@@ScrabblePlays yeah, it's sorta lengthy but i still like seeing how quickly i can clear the whole thing out. and who knows? maybe someone else might get a kick out of it? if not, then whatever. no biggie. also, if i wanted coins i would go and i farm that little flame guy i mentioned before. using a gold sword he's a one hit kill, and if i stand in the right spot with the frog i can just one shot him, then use the tongue to nab the loot without budging an inch. speaking of coins i'm curious to see if i can max it out so that'll be something to add more gameplay time. with everything i've done, and i've died a lot, as well as just messed around for my own amusement, i've racked up 70+ hours. right now i have 99% map completion, and i need to get the last gold pieces for armor stuff, and take on the final boss.

70 hours is a long time! I think I've got about 50 hours in right now across 4 playthroughs.

@@ScrabblePlays so far this is my first and only playthrough and i have yet to beat the game. but like i said i've dot a LOT, especially on the bosses. i've also spent plenty of time looking for secrets, not to mention i just like screwing around sometimes. when i first started playing i spent the first hour or so messing around with game mechanics. i was still human before getting turned into the pig and i spent some time messing around on the beach killing crabs and playing with them for the fun of it. i also played around with the downword thrust when using a weapon. another thing i did was try to take some screenshots and i messed with the timing to try and get one i like just so i could look at it. no, i didn't post them on social media either. i actually miss miiverse. but yeah, sometimes i like to mess around in games just for the fun of it to amuse myself. so i don't care if i beat a game quickly or not. at least i'm getting a lot of game time with this. i also plan on seeing if i can max my gold coins out so that'll add plenty of time to it.

I’ve actually got a Celeste let’s play on my channel, but I stopped after the Summit. Iconoclasts I did a quick look on and I’ve finished the game. I finished Wonder Boy remake before I started my channel. 😄
