A very useful tip for those who play 100% collecting everything and passing the game: in the form of a snake, always remember about the acceleration that the CIRCLE button gives you (plus it breaks through all the bricks naked), and when you are hanging on the moss, then do not touch the controls in this place the video 23:23, but just spam the CIRCLE button from the start to the middle, and then from the middle to the end right after the nearest lava drop starts moving down.

Around 15:55 you were looking for the best warp portal close to a healing save point. There’s actually a ludicrously efficient one you already have access to at this point in the game; it’s at the end of Skullrock Beach, near Pirate Shore. Go all the way to the top of the lighthouse where you put the pirate flag, then swing left to find the teleporter at the top left of the screen. Jump straight down on the same screen to find the healing save point, then swing back up in frog form to get back to the warp portal. You can get in and out in like 20 seconds flat if you’re fast. Tbh, it’s kinda *too* good as you could practically cheese some levels by abusing it.

26:21 you can just use the fire sword, no need to use fireballs. puzzle might be easier upgrading the fire monster to its final form

At 53:30, you could've just charged and then double jumped/ up-dashed. No need to freeze the fireballs. Some other places with other things too but overall, I learned a few things. Thanks.

a tip I found useful for the bat volcano puzzle (where you have to hit the first 4th and 7th one to make the chest appear) I found that if you upgrade a sword (or the Ice sword since its strongest here) so that it shoots ice chunks it makes this puzzle MUCH easier since you don't have to worry about touching the floor

you can get the chest at 7:10 you just have to ram the boulders and ride it then jump off. tricky, but doable. you can also shoulder dash and it will kill all the enemies in the area to help since there are a lot of high life enemies in this section. hope that helps someone. Also the best place to get money is here if you haven't noticed. I acquired like 2000 coins between the secrets and multiple deaths. It is definitely old school difficulty, tough,but fair-ish.... ha.

That's correct, of course. You could also bounce off the imp onto the ledge or freeze the fire and jump up. Ultimately I think it's simpler to get it with the next form, but it's faster overall to get it at this time.

@@ScrabblePlays I liked this game a lot, but at the same time I felt it to be a bit too ambitious at times. Would you agree? Sometimes too much of a good thing can be a thing. Plus some of those puzzles, someone wanted to p*** off some players 😂😂😂

I don’t actually think it’s too ambitious. I believe they completely scrapped the original volcano level and made a new one to improve quality. I think the puzzles can absolutely be tough, but most have really great hints.

@@ScrabblePlays my meaning of over ambitious was in regards to it's a very good game, but I felt they threw in a bit much. I think some concepts could've been scrapped and it would've helped some pacing. Everytime I thought I was nearly done there was something I had to do to get to do yet another puzzle. Maybe it's just my experience, but I felt the backtracking was a little extensive at times. I grew up with super metroid and similar concepts, but this felt like just a tad too much. I'm also saying this in regards to 100%ing the game for my shiny new plat on PS4. Maybe if you just play it to beat it then it doesn't feel that way. It felt unclear to me at times, esp getting into the well at the end. Lastly I rented it from the library so I was on a time frame. Still enjoyed it, but it could've been shortened a tad maybe. Definitely worth your money if you bought it, no denying that.

In response to a previous comment on part 14, I went back to your videos in the Volcano and tracked down the room I was having trouble with and had no idea to double back and turn into it as a snake. Wow, clever.

I think I still missed something in a room that is literally submerged in lava and cannot get in by any means. I think I messed up. It's a hidden room on the bottom right in a room that is 6 squares across and 2 down. It's just beyond the upper left gong room. From the blacksmith room found in the main chamber of the Volcano with the mural, it's located left one square and down 3 squares, specifically if you were looking at it from a grid.

You haven't missed it. Enter into that room and go up. In the top hall, look at the ceiling. You'll see a small strip of breakable blocks to smash through in lion form. That will lead you to a door that goes into that room. Hope that helps!

Why is Pepelogoo afraid of fire? In Monster World IV, Pepelogoo was resistant to fire and lava. Asha used him as a platform to stand on lava and held him over her head to protect her from falling flames. There's even a sign in Handera Volcano that reads, "Pepelogoos like heat." I just find it odd that getting burned is even a concern for him in Monster Boy.
