I have been fishing for over 50 years And the tench still holds dear to my heart Fishing with my dad on our local lake And catching small tench, I have never been lucky enough to catch anything over 3lb , I still fish today but on these man made puddles for the carp , but the tench along with the roach will always remind me of fishing with my dad

Breath taking episode Dan , your angling skills and sheer love for your quarry have shone through. Tench have always been my favourite fish and although now my main target are Carp and Catfish , I'm always over the moon to catch a Tinca at 3am when most carp anglers would scorn at them. My favourite fish ever. Don't have anywhere in the northeast for big tench. They must be really old fish to be that size. I used to live in Bedford and the ouse had some cracking tench in it.
