I could consider supporting the kickstarter if it was just a collection of cards, as in, board game style, but im not gonna support booster packs gambling cards at this point tbh.

It's very easy to play a few rounds with the available pre-built theme decks, and people have already started to build really nice starter-style decks with the preview cards we've made available during testing on Tabletop Simulator.

⁠@@stormmariowhat makes it a terrible business model? Ysuppoeting the kickstarter would allowed you to get full decks not gamble. Booster packs are a guarantee for a known amount of beautiful physical cards. It’s a trading card game meaning you turn to trading for or buy the singles you are looking for. The business model shouldn’t depend on if you are trying to consume the content like a loot box. That’s not how tcgs have ever worked…people will describe booster packs like them or gambling but the history and business models are different if you looked into it.

So do like... the cards evolve in different ways like the monsters and that's the gimmick of the game compared to like the pokemom tcg?

There are monster transformations (and hybrids in upcoming sets) but they aren't *yet* a heavy focus of the game. Comparatively I would say it is much more action-oriented than the Pokémon TCG, since you have potentially 5 active monsters on each player's field, and two or more players! Combat is also constantly shifting depending on what crazy plays opponents pull with support cards and Gene Surging (borrowing another monster's card characteristics) and so on.
