For all those saying these guys won with a depleted field.. Racing for a championship or an entire season is different than one race. Those guys that are all injured put themselves there. Yes.. fast for a day is awesome but the risk to be the fastest is what Chase has been fighting all year. He had to slow up a bit to get the consistency to win. Cheers to all. Heal up guys. We miss you all.

True...how many times did Chase drop it, strong boy equals no injuries and carries on! Will be a deserving champion although Eli would have won it. The nationals would have been great and I would have tipped Chase to get it done narrowly over Eli.

You have to be in it to win it and there is a lot of luck involved too. It's not like Chase hasn't won, he has arguably been the fastest guy all year and has won a lot of races. If there were 1-2 more races, I think Chase may have won it anyway, but we'll never know. Sucks to see Eli out, but Chase earned this just as much IMO.

@@t.d6379 The nationals are still going to be great. Chase isn't just going to walk away with it by any means. Ferrandis is supposed to be back and we saw what he did 2 years ago. Damn that Cockiness coming out already it was gonna be eventual 😪 but a damn well response of Tomac I’m also on the lines of Tomac’s Devestaing / Career Ending Injury. To lose The Championship by the second to last race of the season, Home State, Record Breaking Wins, and a Injury inflicted not by a crash / rider error But just a freak accident out of nowhere. A Rider with huge history of consistency has been taking out by his own body. We saw many crashes from him but that also might assisted in the damage and his Technique throughout his career. Wishing him the best 🙏. As for AC and Kenny I’m happy they are back on the top step together. They already had history with Injuries and Hinderances The Highest of Highs, The Lowest of Lows

@Maddog165
@Maddog165 Жыл бұрын
@@SoleAddictions I don’t think Kenny had the mindset of letting Chase get the win to help him win the championship. Anytime a racer has the opportunity to win, they’re going to make an attempt at it. The win bonus is major factor vs bonus for the other podium places. Some riders have the confidence that they only get bonus for a win. Kenny may have seen that Tomac was out of the race and decided to back it down the last 3 minutes of the race. So he could “live to fight another day”. Rather than push too hard and crash, lose the podium position or just crash out of the series and lose 3rd overall in the championship. Plus it’d take him out of the chance to line up at Pala in a few weeks.

Funny.... watching the guys playing with Chase's glasses. As a vane 18-year-old moving quickly from 250B to 250A, I found myself crashing constantly. I finally realized that I needed to be wearing my glasses while racing. When you are coming up on things faster you have to be able to see things clearly. It seemed I started noticing his glasses after he stopped crashing.

Still seems surreal what happened on Saturday. So many flood of emotions now. Absolutely heartbreaking for Eli for both pulling out of the race due to injury and potentially losing the Championship if he didn't (still was guaranteed even if had had won) but the big picture, this could be the end of his awesome career and maybe the last time we see him. What a stellar season he had going from 4th to all time to 2nd in all time SX wins for example. Coming out of a turn and hitting a jump he probably had done a hundred times that weekend and probably 50,000 times in his career with a very, very freak and and weird injury. Part of me says if he had actually crashed then that was a race incident trying to stay ahead Chase and or trying to keep up then Chase won the chess battle as that's racing but then I have mixed emotions about Chase winning the championship w/o Eli having a fight? I feel bad that he has to win it this way, and what I mean is yes, and let me repeat yes, he was in it all season and never gave up and he was last man standing. ( I bet Webb is just kicking himself too this weekend) but you know he doesn't want to truly win it with the #1 pulling out of a race with an injury. IDK, sorry to ramble but it's just a weird feeling after the race on Saturday for everyone. I think truly no one "wins" but like any racing sport this is not the first or last where the "soon to be crown champion", crashes, has bike/car problems or some weird scenario. Chase never gave up all season and it's cliche but he fought to the end and always played to the whistle and the last lap on the last race. Reminds me of Lewis Hamilton's first F1 championship sort of, for the ones who know you will understand how he won it in the last race, last lap and last turn because he was there to the very end. Ok, I will stop rambling. I just know the 450 riders but watch out for Jett for sure now without Eli to keep him in check.

Tomac fans aren't hating life. I think if anything you should be bummed this could quite possibly be the last time he ever races. People are just stating the obvious that this was gifted to him due to freak injuries. Sure Chase is fast, but that doesn't mean he deserves the championship and his reaction proves it all. I still feel like we got robbed of seeing the most talented rider I had ever seen reach his potential. It sucks. Tomac deserved this season. But he did screw up that transition a little. He got hurt way worse than he should of but it happens. I'm gutted man. I was so pumped for him at the start of the night when he was looking fast and looking confident. But I'm not gonna take anything away from Chase. He's a hell of a rider and he very easily could have given up earlier in the season and let Eli clinch last weekend.
