2:31 I love the shot of Penelope and Telemachus standing on the other side of the shades of Odysseus's men, highlighting the incredible sacrifices he has made and must yet to get home to his wife and son. 2:44- The bit where he accepts his inner monster by emerging from within the faceless soldier that he has likely been envisioning in the place of himself that night. Last but not least, 2:52, where we see Odysseus gripping his heart and then putting his face in his hand, showing that he does not want to be the Monster, but knows he may have no choice.

Oh my god the scene where Penelope appears in the puddle of water, and Ody trying to reach it only for reality to tell him “she’s not here, you’re not home yet” AFGHHH this is so beautiful and well done! No wonder this masterpiece took four months. Fantastic work

Bro's giving gigi a run for the money, but in all seriousness this animatic is ASTONISHING, from how smooth the animation is to the symbolisms to the monster, and i also noticed how, when Odysseus is heading towards the ship and goes past 7 of his crewmates and then the screen flips and shows them in black with white eyes, that i could maybe be a reference to Scylla, as there's 6 people + Eurylochous and basically 6 crewmates were killed in Scylla (and Eurylochous following that betrays Odysseus, so i thought it was hinting towards that, anyway, amazing animatic! Honestly, that is a masterpiece. My favorite Monster animatic- the crispiness of the lines, the smoothness of the animatic, the designes- THE ANATOMY! This is the style of my dreams. The transitions and the meanings in the shots... I love the detail of Odysseus hiding his face in his hand, sygnalizing that he, in fact, doesn't want to become the monster, yet he proceedes knowing that this might be his only choice if he wants to get back to Ithaca. And the shadow-figure symbolizing the monster but also his guilt, the nightmares, the inner battle of morality... Also, I want to appreciate the animations for the cyclops, Circe and Poseidon. Again, love the art style and designes. All of the shots are beautiful and I am so greatful to have seen this masterpiece so early!

I am in SHOCK and AWE over the sheer quality of this??? And like this completely brought the song to a new light for me, cause obviously he’s becoming the monster, but this decision is actually a shining, glorious, bloody moment of humanity-these are the things that make us monsters. I just love the interpretation that Odysseus cries over this choice instead of it giving him a villain makeover (as much as I love that also) because it’s true that he wears ruthlessness as a mask, a tool hes chosen to wield to achieve his goals, here

My gods, the line work is so clean and the some of the movements are so freaking smooth. The color elevates the comparison scenes so much. I love Ody's armor, a great balance of detailed yet simple. The glitch when the embodiment of inhumanity appears was so well done. Your style really reminds me of korean manhua and honestly a more polished and developed version of this is how I imagine a Epic Anime would look; with nice nods to creators like Gigi

I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I say this is in absolute masterpiece. the 'monster' appearing out of the wall all Venom symbiote style (the face caress is breaking my heart), everything about the way you draw Circe, how expressive the Cyclops is, that shot of Anastyx looking so cute in front of the moon and reaching out to Odysseus, Penelope and Telemachus at the end and the way you _can't see Telemachus's face at all without doing that 'blurred out' animatic thing_, 0:34 EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LITTLE HAND MOVEMENT,,,, you more than earnt this subscription

If it weren’t for the visual coherence Gigi’s Monster animatic provides with her Just a Man animatic, I’d add this to my “personal Epic watch-through” playlist. In the meantime, I should probably look into creating a third playlist for “better than the general animatic collection but didn’t make the compilation” animatics. This is SO GOOD OH MY GOD

I really like the interpretation of the song. It's clear that Odysseus doesn't want believe in Poseidon's idea and doesn't want to become a "monster". On the other hand becoming a monster is the only way to came back home. It's beautiful in the last scene he is crying, it feel like he is mourning his idealism
