Dam I know that shocked your system jumping off into the water, especially going in over your head like that. I believe in doing pretty much what is needed land a good fish, but cold water ain't nuthin to mess with. Definitely not in a heavy current trying to rope a fish that weighs a 100 lbs. But then I've gotten well up in years now, and I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing at your age. I suffered from King Kong syndrome worse than most men I've known, and I'm paying for it these days. Ain't nuthin like feeling bullet proof, until you reach the age that you have to pay for all the things you once could do. Good to see Little Man along for the ride, and from the looks of it. I'd say that fish nearly out weighs the youngster that hooked into her. He may catch some big carp, but they don't compare with even a very cold dinosaur fish I'm betting. Stay safe
