I'm fairly certain that I just watched about 20 minutes of advertisements and a few ultra-short bits that included actual fishing. Reminds me of the days of watching the fishing channel at my Uncle's house back in the 90s, but at least those guys showed the down time and what they did when there wasn't action. I suppose there's some nostalgia here, but dear lord. ***Edit: the bit that showed how to set up a special rig like this was neat and the food looked gosh darn delicious. Beautiful fish caught. SHEEEEEEESH @ the advertisements, though. :D

Here in California we get a fish called the Ocean White Fish and they are in the Tile fish family. They are very similar to the Florida Tile fish. Cool fishing content!

We used to do it at the fire station and just pick the meat from the head out after boiling and add that back att the end

Nice work guys. I've heard differing opinions about the best way to treat these after a catch because some folks say they have the consistency of a tire if not done right. One suggestion was to gut and gill them and leave them on ice for three days. What in your opinion is the best way to handle them? Thanks.

The fish head soup looks good. I am going to have to try it myself. I will probably use grouper instead. There's not a lot of tilefish close by on the gulf side of Florida.

We're are going out off? Between Marquisas n Tortuga there are grey tile n golden tiles. The golden tiles are a plus. The ones with different colors. Got to to hit at Least 1000 feet to 1200.

What depth for the Golden’s? Also how do you manage the deep dropping with the strong Gulf Stream current. Up in palm beach it always seem to run at least 3.5 knots or more and is hard to hold bottom in 800’ with that current.

Thanks for watching, we've caught goldens here from 600 to 900 feet, I prefer to fish days with a north or northwest breeze, which helps slow us down.
