Several days ago I rented International's version of this truck from Enterprise. 4x4 diesel, crewcab with 15 foot stakebed. Put about 730ish miles on it. It is very bouncy and rough unless the road is smooth. A 3500 lb bandsaw didn't make a difference for the ride quality. I was getting around 13 mpg, driving at 65 mph. I don't really see the point of this truck because the GVWR of the Ford F600 is pretty close to the GVWR of this truck, but this is way higher with a wider turning radius.

Wild times on the downhill
@Aaron-Basin9 ай бұрын
Hi Dave, Aaron here. I just sat down to watch the video. I haven't seen the part where someone was welding downhill yet. I'm sure anyone who has spent any amount of time running short circuit MIG would be welding material less than a 1/4" in thickness DOWN hill. So, the idea is that proper penetration can't occur without the added retention time of fighting gravity working a puddle up hill. This is true running different processes and fillers such as 7018 SMAW. What I've seen time and time again on materials 1/4" and lower is a very poor result is obtained no matter what technique is used for uphill puddle manipulation on short circuit MIG. There's too much heat input. Too much filler addition. Too much strain in the HAZ. I've done destructive testing to prove this point in the past. Both methods pass, one looks good, one looks like millwright dog s***. You're not the first to say this and you won't be the last and I completely understand where this comes from. It's actually taught in them slick ol' stick weldin' skools. I normally teach the younger guys to get a decent bevel on 1/4" plate for downhill welding. Run the bead, check the backside. If it looks as penetrated as your mom's, we send it.
