Just to note about the face molds: the Fashion Frontier (space cowboy) Barbie has the Karl mold, not Odile. I’m someone who really likes the Odile mold,but I don’t want to see it on all collector dolls because it has a slightly cartoonish look. It’s great for fantasy dolls.

And the fairy they mentioned is a Millie, not Odile. Which just goes to show further that it's not only the mold, but also the design of the face up that's important.

@@letmein1230ify Absolutely! Some dolls with the same mold can look totally different. I think one reason Mille is hated so much is that she is often pixelated. I think the technology has improved somewhat because The Littler Mermaid dolls did not bother me that much, but collector dolls should be done the old way.

I have been into more high end doll collecting and that helps curb my spending (ironically) who knew spending $$$ on a high quality doll and not buying much of anything else would help ease my need for doll. Started selling a bit of my collection as well because I just want to curate what I really like and want vs. what I don't quite care for anymore.

I think with Monster High Mattel never understood and produce too much dolls. They don't focus too much on the quality. I'm so tired of getting one doll with too much plastic stuff(G3). Even the pets they are not rubber they are hard plastic.I preffer the budget ones at least they don't have too much. Sculltimate secrets i like but i'm not sure if i want so many lockers and useless keys. Can they leave Frankie's robot leg alone,especially in Monster Fest why is short?

Another thing i have been, seeing is that at Ross or Family Dollar there putting Rainbow high dolls with the great, quality back on shelves at some certain locations depending on where you live. i had found Meena and Coco and Lila at the Family Dollar the other day which was random.

Hi guy's I'm so happy, to see u back again with the podcast I've missed seeing this in general. I have felt the doll drought for G3 Monster High but watch it pick up again. I have an idea for Johnny look into reading interactive stories, from Choices app it's all animated stories but u can create your main character name it, and it has great soundtracks. Stories I recommend u read are It Lives, Endless Summer, Blades Of Light & Shadow. There all great stories. I still customize and redesign some G3 characters but I also read some interactive stories. Also u guys forgot to talk about the, mean girl dolls done by Bratz but it was great seeing you guys again until next time.

I actually feel there's a lot of good dolls lately. The Barbie Pink Gala, The Juan_____( forgot name) Odile Mexican doll, Wednesday dolls, Bratz Mean Girls, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy ( except body suit), MH Wave 1 Creepos ! I don't have any wave 1, so I'm so excited for those !

Also, I think i read that mga just lost a 71 million dollar case for L.O.L. im gonna hold tight to my lols. I dont think they are going to be around long.

im so happy you guys are back and im really excited for season 2! i too haven’t been into collecting as heavily and am more picky about things these days. i’ve gotten into reading manga and that’s been my kind of replacement haha. though, the upcoming mean girls x bratz collab i am excited about as well as the “us” skullector dolls as that is one of my absolute favorites and i hope the dolls look good !!

Since I only collected rainbow high, I caught up on all the old dolls. I own every single one up to the first color create dolls, I won’t be getting the new reboot dolls unless they go super on sale and I’ll rebody them. But Since even the show is unwatchable now and that was my favorite thing to do was watch the cartoon and I was in a very sad funk for a while… like a few months I was kinda depressed by it but then out of the blue I rewatched Over The Garden Wall and I’m like obsessed. Started making an Over the garden wall wreath for my door, so I’m back into crafting and I decorated for Halloween weeks ago. I’m in a super fall mood! Wanna do some spooky stuff since we haven’t since before covid. Also I’ve been watching lots more anime and I’ve been enjoying it! I wanna make some custom rainbow high dolls of some favorite anime characters now. 😌

The Noonoouri dolls are ai. They are based on an ai character that is on KZbin and many people follow her. I’m not into them and don’t want an ai doll. I like the Cowgirl Barbie; she’s really pretty. I still want some monster high, and am hoping for better rh dolls soon. I miss the beautiful rh dolls we used to get 😢

I think there are quite a few "good" dolls coming this fall, but I think that a combination of increased prices and the glut of dolls over the past few years has left collectors feeling somewhat "full" (and maybe poor). Now that I have purchased over 300 dolls in the past 4 years, it's taking more to hook me enough to make a purchase.

I mean, the Sanderson Sisters are Monster High Skullectors vs. Replica dolls of the actual characters. I think thats what they delivered… Just like all the others not being exact replicas, like Beetlejuice, Chucky/Tiff, Dracula, literally everyone of the whole lineup. So the shorter MH skirts, the heels, etc are all the things I would expect and has always been the precedence for this skullector line. I agree the print dresses don’t look the best in the line, but its also the first 3 pack, (so budget is stretched) and at the price point of about $40 per doll, I think we won with what we got. Im stoked for them & glad I nabbed one before the sell out. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have also been feeling the doll drought. I haven’t really been excited for much of anything that’s come out lately. I did purchase the tribute to fashion Barbie that just came out. I thought she was stunning and I am very excited about the BratzxMeanGirls collab that is coming. Otherwise, I haven’t been super enthusiastic over any releases from Mattel or MGA.

The Hocus Pocus dolls look like that because that’s where we are with G3. They are all too bright, too saturated, too pretty. G3 is better than G2, but still not great. These Sanderson Sisters dolls look great… for G3. Not great for Monster High dolls.

If you wanna collect Pokémon cards but don't wanna spend money on it, there's an app coming out at the end of October called Pokemon TCG Pocket. Idk if you HAVE to play the actual card game against other people to keep collecting cards...but its free lol. I'm fine with a bit of a doll drought lol...although is there gonna be any Bratz product intended for the winter holiday season?? The only doll I'm currently looking forward to is if Mattel puts out a G3 Gil Webber :(... I love his design on the show.
