I love that they incorporated the mariposas on her packaging, and on her dress! I believe it’s a symbol of life in Mexican culture. Specifically the monarch butterflies, because they are believed to hold the actual spirits of the departed. And I know that in G3, she is actually going to have a pet monarch butterfly. So I’m just really glad that the team put in the time to research about the culture, and not fall into harmful stereotypes. It’s a small detail, but it shows that they really care about the representation.

I just got my skelita today and her teal skulls are mostly upside down from the in box view…. Lol, it would be so funny if that was your extra doll that you were going to return for someone else to get. No way of knowing for certain but a curious thought though.
