I think we’re going to keep getting “G2” style dolls in play sets- and not just because of budget. Play sets don’t typically sell as well with adult collectors, but young kids often want them. Young kids also have horrible fashion taste, at least by teen and up standards. What they typically want is bright blocks of vibrant colors, repetitive imagery, and character faces (like the emoji dress). I’m pretty sure Mattel is trying to keep a wide breadth of potential buyer demographics this time with G3 by keeping that portfolio diverse. And I’m fine with that personally. For every Draculaura food truck we get Scary Sweet 1600s AND the G1 purists get collectors (albeit, at horrific prices)

Well this is.... something... but surprisingly, I'm starting to rapidly warm up to it, and now I like it. The whole printed-on dress reminds me of the g2 emoji dresses, and for some reason, I REALLY like it. And tho it's just a simple ponytail, I really REALLY like the pink, black, and blue streaks.

i dont entierly hate the doll but i know this will be a 40-45 dollar set so because of that i kinda hate this. the sets a cool idea tho and I hope it means that they will bring back a lot more creative lines with g3.

Actually so livid. They are treating Frankie like crap this generation. They have had few to no releases compared to Drac and Clawdeen, there's almost no pack releases for them, they had 0 character development in season 1 of the show (still watching s2 so can't speak on that yet) and also nothing in the movies. This could have been the perfect Gen to actually show Clawdeen and Frankie's friendship considering Drac was lowkey rude and evil 1st half of 1st movie, but instead they've been pushed to the side for a sequel that is now never coming. I think that Frankie is so freaking cute this Gen, and the fact that they continue pushing Drac releases when it seems they have 0 idea for her and are just mass producing her cuz she's the fave kills me. Speaking logically Frankie should have gotten a ghoul mobile release. There is absolutely no reason that claw and drac get 2 packs with that car when Frankie isn't getting anything. It absolutely kills me inside that Frankie one of the main 3 characters has practically become a prominent side character. (When I say 0 development I mean that they only have relationship stuff going on S1, in the movies we had little to no mention of their friendship with the other 2 and instead of being able to have a serious heart to heart with either of their beasties, they feel they have to go to Duece to talk...) I love Frankie and I feel like they Def could have given them some storyline, even if they wanted to stick with Clankie storyline give us an episode where Frankie realizes their feelings.

In my opinion, the new dolls for g3 will be splitted into two groups - in the first group the will be clearly marked toward adults with good quality and fierce designs and the second group for kids. And I actually think it is good, because Rainbow high was depening just on adults and it semms like it hasn´t worked. So g3 is trying to do something for both

just give us welcome committee frankie please I'm begging, I haven't bought a g3 Frankie yet because welcome committee has been the first one I liked enough to want to buy TwT (skulltimate 1 and fearidescent were good too tbf but way too expensive for a doll I can't see the face of) Anyways if this set does come with an electric chair that's crazy. I might try to find someone selling just the chair piece because a doll sized electric chair is really funny to me. In a horrible morbid way.

i actually really like this frankie except for the hair being poly, i know i’m in the minority 😆 i would never wear the over the top clashing neon ensemble but i think it suits frankie some of the time. iirc the boots are reused from the latin america budget doll, i’m not mad about that since i don’t own that doll. kids apparently love pets according to market research so i think this set could do well if it’s the right price. i might get it on sale to play with my nephew, he’s 6 and definitely intrigued by all of the monster high pets.

While this is another g3 MH line that I would definitely skip, at least Mattel is also releasing excellent lines, like the upcoming 1600 birthday dolls with Cupid and the others. Plus, even their cheap playset lines still have wrist articulations. I wished MGA would learn this from Mattel regarding their RH dolls.
