My mom went to Target for me today and she found Cleo!! I was SCREAMING when she told me, and I am so excited to finally have one of the G3 dolls! It's the first time I got one of Cleo's main dolls :)

I got Gen 3 Cleo recently, and she is surprisingly gorgeous. I like the lapis lazuli blue in her hair and I was pleasantly surprised by the shiny gold parts on her dress.

The new dolls actually fit some Rainbow High things pretty nicely! I used the pants that came in Ainsley Slaters extra outfits on Clawdeen and she looks amazing in them so that's an option as well.

My favorites so far of G3 are Lagoona, Clawdeen and Toralei. Clawdeen has the most precious face. I also want more werecats! Also....Toralei has a British accent in the animation. That was surprising. But werecats were my sole reason for collecting MH in 2011 I believe, and I'm so happy Toralei is back. I'm loving her long hair. I love the pets. The clothes are not my favorite but that just means room for improvement. Can't wait to see what comes from this new generation.

Packaging can sometimes deform the toys. They use heat when boxing them. So try boiling or hot water. Dip the glasses in until they're soft enough to mold them hold them so you can set them on clawdeen's face better.

I love the new bodies for the dolls. I have so far gotten Draculaura And Lagoona and they are so beautiful. I do prefer my G1 dolls compared to my G3 dolls but the g3 bodies are absolutely gorgeous!!

Brooke, these are two questions you may have already answered before but I wanna ask again. 1. Which do you prefer? G1 or G3? 2. If you had a monster high oc, what would they be?

I so much prefer G1 Toralei. She has a great face mold and looks more like a cat to me than wave 3. I like these new G3 dolls but I don't love them as much as the originals. They have great eyes. I love G3 eyes paint, it is gorgeous. I prefer G1 face molds. They have more personality and cheek bones (Ghoulia, Spectra...). It is a very nice reboot but I will not collect them actively. I really want Cleo so far and I will see which other dolls I really like when I will see them in real life.

I learned last year from integrity Toys that Saran produces less fantasy colors than they once did, hence why companies have switched to Nylon and Poly for those colors. maybe Mattel has extra bulk stock of certain colors and not others. wish they'd use nylon but maybe MGA has a deal with the nylon companies...

Mattel has been seen using nylon a few times in the past decade but they seem to not prefer it for some reason? I assume it’s mainly because their dolls have smaller heads and nylon is pretty thick and heavy

I was trying not to get any of these but Clawdeen's face is growing on me. I just need to wait for one that I really like, just like with G1. My first Clawdeen was Dead Riding Wolf because I like red over purple, and my other fav was Freak Du Chic who was grayscale. The G3s are looking very same-y so far. I hope they plan to switch it up occasionally.

I LOVE Frankie without the vest! I might just buy them. My parents got me the two pack Set, Signature Draculaura & Gore-ganizer Draculaura, Toralei, Deuce, & the coffin bean. Ghoulia is arriving tomorrow.

When you said that Frankie's stitches can fade or peel, I just looked at mine and the right leg stitch looked faded. I moved my thumb across it and it almost smeared off. Maybe fix it by mixing water with acrylic paint? The left thigh stitch has a smear, too. :/

Maybe repaint it if you can, and seal it with resin or clear nail polish or something.

I feel like people who bought off eBay from a NY seller who got them from Canada wasn’t it the moons shirt 🤔 I saw moons at Target. I ordered from Walmart and got the stripes shirt.

I actually like G3 Clawdeen better than G1 although to be fair she was never my favorite. I've gotten the majority of G3 and I'm really surprised that my favorites so far are Frankie and Deuce, I'm loving both their face sculpts and details. I only have one male doll in my entire collection so I was not expecting Deuce to be one of my favorites.

Clawdeen does not have enough nose to support the glasses. I like her molding, I don't like the hair color tho. The light purplish one is what I don't like.

Love Toralei. Drac & Frankie are probably my top 2 then Ghoulia & Toralei. Then I think I like Lagoona then Cleo. Clawdeen & Deuce I think are my least favs so far. 🤔

Nah they’re glorious to me. a lot of Gen 1 also had molded on socks so that’s not much of a point of contention imo. the stand thing is very annoying to me- it’s my only major criticism and that’s saying something

I really like the way Frankie looks. But honestly, this new gen completely defeats the purpose of what the original Monster High dolls were going for. They're meant to be a little bit creepy but also meant to be alt girls, not your typical 'everday' outfits... Now, they don't even look like monsters and they're dressed very very preppy etc. with makeup that definitely doesn't make them look 'dead' or 'monsterish'... bit disappointing really. (but I mean, to be fair, Frankie's Gen 1 makeup is very gorgeous and not monsterish, but... do you get what I mean? xD aha)
