It's been a long 11 months since I had the WR for this game but here I am once more. This has been such a rough grind, this game is incredibly unforgiving, but it's finally done. I want to do Nekoht% next, I've been promising that for a long time. Thanks for watching

That Monoblos strat is incredibly scary because of the Cephalos and if they don't want to play nice then they will end runs. Luckily they only were slightly annoying this run

@@Rosiannachu Cephalos in general seem like the most dangerous monster for speedrunners, lol. Although I was practicing some of your strats on a Gravios the other day and an Apceros destroyed my life while I was laying bombs.

@@JonesCrimson Gravios is the Gate Keeper, his dumb quest will ruin any run where it stands. He's without a doubt one of the hardest quests in the run.

DUde this is wild, I first played MHFU on my PSP when I was 13! I was obsessed with LS and GS and never picked up a gunner weapon in my entire playthrough. I had no idea that hbg was so BUSTED in this game!!!!!

My parents bought me Rainbow Six Vegas on the PSP as a birthday gift. I loved it and I played it frequently but I wanted MHFU more. One day I met someone who owned MHFU but HAAATTTTEED it. I told him how I've played the demo countless times and knew Hypnoc like the back of my hand, I could do the triple hunt with almost no issue on any weapon, etc. He asked if I wanted to trade Rainbow Six for his copy of MHFU. Needless to say that spawned my complete infatuation with the series. And I come to this video near a decade later and learn sleep bombing was so much more OP than I gave it credit.

The new Shen route definitely saved me the most time, I was extremely happy with how it went. I had a few optimisations that saved time but that was kinda ruined again by the Gravios being dumb and the Diablos rolling high hp.

Does crouching prior to gathering/carving actually speed up the process? Is the animation usefully shorter?

Yep yep, it reduces the time between consecutive carves/gathers, there's no downside to doing it so it's a nice little tech

First of all amazing run, big congrats and respect. Secondly what do you think that cut you the most time? I am not too familiar with what is the part that you need to get lucky at or stuff and curious what did you felt like cut the most time

There's a lot of different optimising that cut down the time in the run compared to the last. Things like bomb and trap setups, being quicker on those and doing better placements, like in the Azure Rath quest, the setup for that used to be very inconsistent, but my new setup works very nicely. The places I lost a lot of time were the Giadrome rolling high hp so he was able to escape, the Diablos rolling high hp so he survived the setup and required more bombs and the Gravios being the Gate Keeper that he is. If I was to get no high rolls on monster hp then I could save another 4 minutes with good setups and RNG. Liver of Legend alone can save another minute and a half cause that quest is just awful. My favourite time save was on Shen Gaoren, my new setup for him worked out perfectly and I'm very happy with it.

woah woah woah, I didnt knew that monsters had rolls in hp, is the difference high? is it in every mh? is it on every monster or just specific ones? (talking for example yama tsukami, does he have it?) sorry for questioning a lot but I am really interested and I doubt it is on the wiki because I have not seen anything related to it

@@4blasphemy HP rolls is in most MH games and on most monsters. Usually siege monsters don't have hp rolls and instead set hp. However taking an example from the run, normal Tigrex hp is 2400, which my route is built around, some runs have died however because Tigrex has rolled high hp of 3200! It's a crazy difference, but it is rare and doesn't happen very often, except weirdly this very week that I've been grinding out the run.

@@4blasphemy I use a mod to see the hp, if a run fails and I suspect it was to do with hp then I'll turn the mod on and since the run already died then there's no harm in checking the monster's hp. Of course the mod cannot be turned on during real runs though
