Fatalis and Safi have no interactions in-universe aside from the former possibly awakening the latter, but that's it. It's a throwaway line. Safi's actual ecological nemesis is Alatreon. There are multiple paragraphs stating their relationship but to go over the cliff notes: - Safi and Alatreon are mirrors to one another. In fact, it's flat-out stated that Alatreon is the perfect counter to Safi'jiiva's abilities because the best way to nullify its bioenergy manipulation and hoarding is mass destruction through Alatreon's elemental powers. They got the whole creation/destruction duality going. - They are also stated to be on a "planetary scale turf war". The reason Safi'jiivas are so rare and so well-hidden is because if an Alatreon even gets a whiff of Jiiva in the air, it will take offense to their existence and slaughter them with extreme prejudice. - Fatalis fits nowhere in the ecosystem. By all accounts, it's an alien that defies all laws of nature. Some scientists even theorize it's not even from this dimension. As recent as the official lore video, the developers have been hammering home how it's *THE* ultimate big bad of the franchise.

Man, this song hits me like a freight train of nostalgia. It actually reminds me of the main thing that got me into MH; the world itself. Its the first ever hard science fantasy media I have ever experienced. The monsters, even the mythical dragons, are just biological faunas inhabiting the ecosystem. It reminds me of nature documentaries, something I watched almost as much as cartoons as a kid. I guess its also why I love you guys so much; yall have made tons of ecology videos since forever, something I really appreciate because still refuse to make a full MH nature documentary series. Oh, now this… this is something special. The animation, the song and the general vibe it’s give off, it’s so pure and wholesome. And also at least to me it reminds me that slaying monsters and using their scales, furs and hide to make the sickest pair of pants you’ve ever seen, isn’t the only appeal of this franchise (although it is a pretty large one) but it’s also about the love of nature and the world around you, from the tiniest insect to the mightiest Dragon, from the docile to the wild and from the beautiful to the downright disgusting. Every single one of them filled with so much wonder, and all should be admired and loved to the maximum amount the heart can give, arguably even more. Honestly, I could continue to ramble but I think you said it best, Monster Hunter is just awesome. Also that ending with Gaismagrom falling into the abyss is amazing, a perfect comedic end to this heartwarming video.

I love that one of the core values of monster hunter is not that we hunt the monsters because we hate big scaled creatures, but because we are apart of the ecosystem. We get to be part of the circle of life out of respect, and get to help keep balance. I think many of us stop to just watch the imaginary world and yearn for that deep connection to nature again.
