These are the must have armor skills you need to have on your armor builds in Monster hunter now. You must have lock on and divine blessing in all your armor sets in monster hunter now. Lock on is so important in monster hunter now that everyone should be running it. mhnow armor skills that are important to have on your armor set.

Tip for lock on: you don’t have to click the little circle. It targets the closest circle to where you tap. This is handy when you’re trying to cut tails as you can dodge to the side of the monster until the tail circle is visible and then just tap the far end of your screen. It helps to zoom out when fighting as well.

I have the same problem with lock on too. I hope they just let us tap the lock on button and have the lock on cross-hair move like how pressing R1 and/or L1 buttons functions in the console... That's why I run a focus skill instead or concentration allowing me to fill spirit charge quicker- and more often I can access charge attack- a state where you won't receive damage when performing the special attack animation

Great strategy! The problem with tapping the lock on button is you can't target the part you want. Unless you can set it to default to head or tail

Swiping to dodge sucks in this game. There needs to be a virtual button for dodge.

Great video, I started hunting back in mh4, enjoying now so far. You? Currently using mixed sets, waiting to farm diablos part but, now using. kulu or Barroth helm Ludroth Chest Raithian or Kulu vambraces Ludroth or Barroth Belt Soon to be Diablos Kulu Legs Soon to be diablos I use baroth parts for a counter set, for the increase in defense and guard for using counters with sword n shield and great sword. My second set is an all attack set, using affinity right now for weapons with no strong guard or lack burst compatibility, like longsword or hammer, etc respectively. Making up for it with raw and recoverability skills. Keep up the inspiring work and Happy Hunting from NY.

Health boost has the issue that your 30% health cap to fight monsters gets increased which means you have to wait longer for your health to regen if you want to save potions

Nope, the minimum amount of health you need to start a hunt will increase from 30 but the recovery time will remain the same as before

Lock on is only good with SnS, Long Sword, and maybe hammer. For any of the ranged weapons and GS it doesn't matter.

Yea, been running the kulu headgear since the beginning, then paolumu gloves and waist and next is legiana body. It's such a great allrounder set that's great on at least every melee weapon due to the nature of how potions work and how limited they are in this game.

Sadly there's no lock on for ranged weapons. You can re center the target with the lbg tho

Depends in the weapon. If you can still manage to kill the monster without lock on then divine blessing 5 is better

SOMEONE HELP! I'm already at Cbapter 2 and have a grade 2 armor and its not giving me Lock On to continue the main quest and unlock more weapons :'(

You need to upgrade the kulu helm until you unlock the skill

@@enbiya99 you can only KO monster using blunt attacks to the monsters head. So you can only KO monsters using hammer and sword and shield. When the monster gets KOed the get knocked down to the ground and you can attack them for free.
