Hi there, I read online that you could do coop quests on local multiplayer if you didn't have a Nintendo Online subscription; nevertheless, I tried it and I never got an AI Instead, it kept saying waiting for someone to join or something similar, and I never got the chance to fight any monsters at all. Could someone please elaborate more on the subject? Thank you in advance.

one question, can you change the battle speed in multiplayer? even when solo-ing?

No sadly, the co-op is basically a separate mode where you can level up and earn great loot, but it doesn't tie into the core story at all. It has its own progression.

you didn't explain how to invite friends or how do friends join, there is no search option or match id finding on steam. you show little video of them after they joined but not how they did.

Didnt explain This well but Lemme get this straight, We Have to be at the same point in the story to say, do the Legiana quest? So Me, Being my level, Cant help my lower level Friend, Who're doing a 2 Star Quest? I get they cant join quests that they dont have, But Even if Say the higher level player wants to Play the Beginning Coop Mission like Ajanath with a lower level, We cant?

I think you should be able to since your both passed or is on that tier level. i don't think being a higher level gate keeps you from helping someone else but is more to prevent a tier 2 from joining a high level teir 5 quest so you should be able to.if not try making him post the quest

Okay, but how do I connect with friends? It's not showing my friends on the list when they've posted a quest.

Are they the same kinship rank as you are? Also are you in the same region?

At the quest board, go to online setup and then edit multiplayer party and that should be it for you. Hope this helps.

It is both quests and versus. I did 2 Rathian co-op quests with other players.

but how do you join the lobby your friend makes??? there is no lobby list for me to choose from... it just makes me create my own lobby

Have you or your friend create a room by clicking the smiley face. That means friends only lobbies, then search using that face icon and there room should pop up. It takes a while to unlock co-op specific missions, so just keep that in mind. The game will clearly spell it out when a coop lobby can be created because at first that board had solo only side quests.

@@Namtox i figured it out. it was steams "download region" one of us changed it to match the others. steam doesnt let you play multiplayer with people on this game if they have different download regions.

I did a coop expedition for the first time with a friend and we timed out and failed the quest, what the hell, why did no one mention you are on a time limit and why did the quest board now show it? Absolutely ridiculous and it wasted my SR ticket.

Yup, you need Nintendo Switch Online to play online.

@@thebiggesthunter1216 for that honestly I don’t know. You can launch coop missions by yourself, so that’s a possible way to get access to the game updates without playing online with another person.

You can play then solo (you get a co op partner ai controlled who is actually good) Create the room and then go to the menu and click start room
