I played through the first on 3Ds and then the second on switch and prayed the first would to get Remastered for switch so my hype was absolutely intense when them announcements dropped

Did they update some of the armor? In a lot of clips I noticed you wearing armor familar to zamtrios armor but it looks a bit different from the original one

Remasters this good make you really appreciate the companies responsible for them. And really bad remasters make you question the creditability of the companies who approve & charge you such high prices for them.

Absolutely clawdacious I missed out on the first, but played the second. I really, really enjoyed its iteration. MHS2 was such a a fun and charming game. That being said, was its predecessor a big step-back mechanically speaking, neutral, or was it better than 2? I sometimes have a hard time going back to play games when I've experienced them "out of order" because of the missing QoL features from subsequent installments. Hm. I felt like 2 was a bit slow in the beginning and the tutorial wasn't over until you got to the Wyverian village, which was a good amount into the game. is it worse than that in 1? Omg the art in the museum is so cute 😭

WHY is June filled with so many Games?? 😭😭 V Rising just announced its PS5 Release on June 11, then We have MH Stories 1&2 AND SMT 5 on June 14, Elden Ring DLC is June 21 and of course FF14 Dawntrail on June 28.....I dont have Time to play all of them 😭

I think that this is a huge step for Capcom. It is the first Monster Hunter remaster besides MHP3rd HD, they probably use Stories to see if it’s worth to remaster the mainline games. I think people don’t give the first 3ds remaster enough credit, since it opens up the possibility of a MH3U and MH4U Remaster. It even opens up doors for older title, which I assume will come because of the 20th anniversary Website, I believe that the ressources were not wasted on this

The main reason for the remaster is that the fan base wanted it, complete with all the cut content that wasn't in the international release, And the Dev team Still had access to the master files. It was a Quick and Easy job, And it's gonna make money easily. Unlike a Remake of 1 or 2, which WOULD sell, but to a much smaller Market. It's not shown well, but look at the marketing data... Stories overperformed in sales when it originally released, and a TON of the people who played it then got into World and the mainline games. World also overperformed in sales, While ALL the previous games BARELY made a profit overseas, really only selling well in Japan. Though, its understandable WHY. STORIES was a great Gateway Game, And it's Sequel is ALSO a great Gateway game... and that's the entire point of a Spinoff, to get people who might not try the main games into the lore and World, enticing them to TRY the main games. And it did that. So now, Capcom has ANOTHER huge Flagship title internationally, but unlike SO MANY of their others, Monster Hunter is actually being payed attention to. (R.I.P. MEGA-MAN, DEAD RISING, ETC)... They honestly seem to have forgotten they own more than Resident Evil and Monster Hunter...

If you own MHS: 2 Wings of Ruin, there’s no reason to play the prequel.

There is actually. If you play the prequel, you’d get to experience all the features they didn’t bring to the second game. Cooking the meat and changing the element of your monstie in particular. Changing a monstie’s element was one of the coolest features, and should have been implemented. Also, you’d actually get to know Cheval better and understand why he knew how MC felt in the second game. Of course, this is coming from a person who played the game on release back in 2017, so I have a soft spot for the game.

Folks. It's NOT A PREQUEL. A prequel is a release that comes AFTER but is set BEFORE. This is an upgraded remaster of the Original, for which Wings of Ruin is a Semi-Sequel. I say Semi-Sequel because NONE of the recurring characters seem to have much memory of the First game.

This is the stupid shit they are spending time and resources on while simultaneously spending 6!!!!! FKN!!!!! YEARS!!!!! on the next mainline title after iceborne, just to ruin the entire hunting formula by forcing open world into a franchise that will unarguable be worse for it. they cannot put the level of detail into the combat, monsters, and level design that world did and make the game open world. instead they are pathetically trying to ride the coat tails of Elden ring. So disappointed with the direction Capcom is going.
