I got the opportunity to play and review Monster Hunter Stories Remastered for PC! This remaster releases on June 14th, but I got the chance to check it out before I goes on sale. Thanks to ‪@CapcomUSA‬ for this huge honor and for providing the review copy of the game :)
Monster Hunter Stories is a fantastic shake up of the classic Monster Hunter gameplay you may be used to. Is it worth purchasing and trying for yourself? I say yes and I'll give you all my reasons why and a few things to watch out for.

Agreed! And I think the cell shaded art is so much better. Pokemon is great and all, but Monster Hunter Stories could make a huge splash. Maybe Monster Hunter Stories 3 will revolutionize the genre?!

It’s freaking great. Once you get out of the first village the dens end up being crazy lol pro tip avoid the pink rathalos it’ll wreck you when you first meet it!!!

Does this game have x3 fast gameplay? Like the android phone? Also is your monster stories savefile transferable to wings of ruins? Or do you start from level 1?

It does have x3 fast gameplay :) Not sure about savefile transfer tho!

I got monster hunter stories on my phone. Is it worth rebuying and playing it on steam? Or is wings of ruin a separate story that doesn't need the first one to reuse and play the old monster it has captured? Just contemplating whether if its worth rebuying and replaying mh stories on steam or just buy the wings of ruin directly

Wings of Ruin is a sequel, but you can play them in any order, so totally up to you! If you'd rather not play through 1 again (even though now it has voiced over dialogue and remastered graphics ;) ) Then just grab 2 and enjoy that one! I didn't even know the main Monster Hunter games before I found this on the app store lol Which is why I'm definitely getting the remaster, this was the first MH game I got and also introduced me to mainline games, which I absolutely love. And apparently my brain kinda sucks and I forgot most of Stories 1's... Well, story. Which just means I can enjoy the game again. 👌
