And yes, its a beta, but the game is basically finished, they are just testing if the servers can handle the people, in 4 months they cant fix everything.

Ok heres an information if someone want to know how the state of the game is: It seems like you need at least a Ryzen 5 5600 and a RTX 4060 or equivalent (600+ $ Computer) for playing the game at 80 (with the DLSS, 40-50 without) which is bad cuz with DLSS if frames drops the game start to look blur. I tested the game in a Intel i7-4th Gen CPU, RTX 2060 and a SATA SSD (I know, I know... my CPU its 10 years old and its a shit...) but the thing i've seen is some problems charging models with stray verticies, and ugly textures in the map (rocks and ground) texture monster seem ok, but still breaking the models if your computer its no able to load it at the time. (If someone its asking 30 FPS in low 1080p Without DLSS is what i get in the Test) Remember this is the first map of the game and is just a desert: No Rain, No Rivers, No fire, There is not that much of plants so... this is bad. Im afraid but i still believing that the Mh team its going at least do the bare minimum for the game not releasing like this piece of shit beta...

Even with that... this is like the minimun for playing this fucking game :|. for me that specs are at least medium high and you are not able to reach 60 fps in a build able to move cyberpunk in high config... so this is only capcom fault tbh

And don't get me wrong I'm not defending performance issues from the game. I played dragons dogma 2 and it had the same issues than wilds. I believe that re engine is at fault here, it's definitely not meant to create big open worlds and is struggling. I've got a 6750xt I get to play in 2k 60fps high/very high but at the cost of AMD upscale and frame generation. I shouldn't need any of these tools to run it

Game company should really implement Radiance Cascade. It's a groundbreaking global illumination technique which doesn't rely on expensive RTX cards. It is a low cost performance but produces much faster and crispier result. It's applied the first time on Path of Exile 2.

Welp unsurprisingly right now it is an absolutely shitty PC port which is as expected honestly. An RTX 3070 at medium setting - which is what the game recommends - looks absolutely terrible compared to what pretty much any other game looks like running smooth 60 FPS. And then there is all the broken textures and meshes that somehow load with like 2 triangles and are missing faces. There is exactly 0 optimization and tuning done for PC. That's at least what happens on my system in the opening cutscenes and opening sequence. The textures loading is exceptionally bad and displaying textures worse than 2006 games all the time without even running stable 60 FPS.

I agree. Not only that, running at base resolution makes the game emit shimmery artefacts everywhere. And worse of all, native resolution does not even look native at all. I have to put DLSS at ultra performance and don't even get 60 FPS at medium settings, and textures don't load properly all the time. Granted, I play in 4k - but other games work fine with DLSS and high settings, and I can run them on Quality or Balanced DLSS. Can confirm chatacabra was shimmering lol Then there is the estimated VRAM usage. It's not functional. Changing resolution or DLSS preset should impact VRAM but shows no change there so you just have to trial and error your way. Also... Changing the settings seems to cause many bugs if you don't restart. The performance just gets worse when you reduce settings somehow.

not really, it's only running decently on PS5 @ 30fps, pc is still an improvement. World had the same problem on launch on ps4 and same situation on pc, it's totally playable and not the worst thing in the world. They will fix it so either play it or wait til it get optimized. I have a 3060ti ryzen 5 7600 and I play high graphics settings locked at 45FPS game is beautiful and plays fine, if you think this is a broken PC port you must not play a lot of PC ports that are actually busted XD

@deadkold that's due to the hardware limitations of a PS5. I've seen footage and yea, it needs more optimization there, but PC has gigantic issues with artifacts, texture and LOD loading. I literally had invisible meshes and the lowest LOD loading in the opening cutscenes. My character had a single triangle for its chest. And nah, based on their track record, it'll still be a mess on release and eventually mods will fix the issues that they never address in an update. My 3070 can't do high and had all of these artifacts. You're probably just lucky on your end.

I just see this as the same case as Hogwarts Legacy at launch tbh, there are a bunch of issues. I also have a 3070, haven't tried Wilds yet but I'm checking vids to know what to expect. The thing is, having a 3070 you expect to not have to tweak your settings way too much to have a nice experience. Also you expect to be able to play at 60fps at the bare minimum (after all, you are on PC to get that at the very least). This game forces you to tweak it as much as possible because if you're on 1440p or 4k (although the 3070 is not suitable for 4K because 8gb VRAM), you'll have to compromise and hope for the best. If you're on 1080p you'll have to tweak it too, but far less (stick to medium native at best, since usually at 1080p upscaling is quite questionable based on my experience with it).

I'm getting 40-50 fps in camp with other players and 70ish in the open world running a 4090. The thing is, you need to turn on frame generation. I'm guessing the game was designed with that in mind because with frame generation on, i'm getting stable 140-150fps everywhere even in the middle of fights. I'm running it on ultra with upscale set to 1.00, basically max on all settings.

i'm using a i5 9400kf (basicaly the same) with a RTX 4060 8gb, and 16gb ram game pretty much uses 14 to 15gb of ram so you must close all other apps CPU average usage between 80% to 100% in game the GPU can hold pretty well if you enable framegen + dlss and downscale a little bit the other settings.

PC players, I tested this game on console and believe it or not, this game has a 120hz mode, which is crazy. First, obviously the game doesn't reach 120fps, even without external software I can tell and at several times the game drops to less than 30fps. When the game is in 120hz mode it looks VERY ugly, horrible textures and the character's outline has a very bad motion blur, I tested it on an Xbox Series X. Despite everything, the game looks very fun.

1st gen Ryzen is slooooow in gaming. They got good at 3000. That how long it took for ryzen to catch up with Skylake from Intel. That said, make sure you have the drivers updated (as updated as possible since the 480 no longer get new drivers) However, atop slow cpu, the ram is an issue... 1st gen couldnt realy use too fast ram.

I got a 1080Ti, its old I know. But it is barely used 50% and the game lags sooo much. This game is not optimized at all, especially for GTX cards.

if you use i3 12100f to cope with rx 6600 like me, you will have a cpu bottle neck - 100% cpu and about 50% gpu, 1080p, medium settings, but 40-50fps average AFMF 2 on (in game frame gen off). But the graphics look abit worse than World at this point.

And to nobody's surprise (or at least I assume), the Frame Generation looks utter garbage. In combat, I *guess* it won't be too noticeable all the battle effects going on, but moving around on the Seikret and on foot just don't look good. It's a crying shame too, cuz they should've learned from past mistakes on how to NOT make PC MonHun games require the world the play but run like crap on "Medium" settings

I'm convinced Capcom can't do open world games. Dragon's Dogma 1 ran horrible and it was on MT Framework, same as MHW. Now history repeats again, Dragon's Dogma 2 has poor performance and so does MH Wilds... The worst part is that I don't see where all the performance is going because none of these games look that good to justify the overhead.

It's not the current state of the game. It's a an earlier build. The build number is visible while starting.

Vsync by itself limits fps, so it is most probably what causes the 4060 to struggle getting to 60. I currently running a gtx and tested an old game. Without vsync it pulls of around 100-ish fps, with vsync it locks onto 60. I am not saying that Vsync is THE ULTIMATE CAUSE but it most likely is. If it turns out that it's not then i am wrong and its completely fine
