BTW, you can stake the monster while falling after shooting your volleys in an Aerial Aim in MHR. It's a great follow up after the AA to start doing charged shots and power shots. If you stack multiple AA together with stakes hides the monster in numbers! 😆 I also think that coatings are now applied in batches as opposed to an on/off wheel. This also saves on deco slots having to switch easier (if that's still in MHWilds)

LMAO thank you ❤️ we had a big discussion as well about the homing arrows which maybe can have its own video tbh and I was thinking that there’s actually some interesting stuff to think about with how best to use the rest of your bow kit to maximize the tracers. So many thoughts 🤣

I think the Arrow Rain isn't actually a part of the Focus Strike. It looks they double backslide away before going into the actual Focus Strike which I think is the Magick Archer + Dragonpiercer combo. That's still a very sizable animation commitment though. Also, very important thing to consider in Multiplayer, Bow looks as though it is going to destroy ALL of the Wounds on a monster, which will absolutely hurt some other weapons who also want to perform their focus strikes for big damage. The entire Focus Strike combo just reminds me of Wild Hearts bow, the sticking all the arrows into the monster before exploding them with one big attack.

There’s been a couple cheeky Wild hearts things I’ve seen. Not saying they absolutely “copied” but if they did take inspiration from that game at all I think that’s great! They had some very dope weapons and ideas. Also yeah I think you’re right about the raining arrows, it’s probably the same button input as it is now

My theory for the power coatings is that the Bow may be like the gunlance/ bow guns in which certain Bows may be able to can hold certain quantities of coatings. Where this Bow can only hold 8 power coatings and late game bows can hold more 🤔

Use one bow that has good element and one with good ailment. Although bows may not be as good at ailments anymore. So maybe get into sword and shield or dual blades.

@Ms5000Watts My plan is to play Long Sword and have bow as my secondary since we're allowed to carry 2 weapons on a hunt. Both weapons are looking so good in Wilds! Long Sword was my main in World and Bow was my 2nd main, I can definitely see the roles being swapped now after seeing the Bow overview 😅 Loving the content Watts keep it up ❤️

I have yep! I started with 4U but during that time I was making call of duty KZbin videos and Destiny KZbin videos so I didn’t have nearly as much time to delve deep into it and played casually. Now I am free 🙌

I'm not a bow player but the the homing target lock steps just enough into fantasy territory that it becomes a little silly to me. Of course this is a series with fridge sized swords, energy blades and helicopter bug staffs but something about that tracer shot and the multi-lock magick archer thing doesn't sit well with me on both an aesthetic and gameplay level. Like, will bow gameplay mostly revolve around not having to aim your freaking bow now? I'm confident in the devs to make this a fun and engaging weapon but my impressions would be rather mixed if I'd be looking to actually play this.
