quick tip: u can do a quick reload after a step dodge meaning u can do upthrust --> overhead smash--> burstfire --> step dodge --> quick reload (pressing right face button without directional input) --> overhead smash --> burst --> step dodge --> repeat. Also another AMAZING tip and it is what made me fall in love with this weapon is you can hold block into FULL reload and it will count as a perfect block.

Honestly the shelling sharpness change is so fantastic. Just to be able to burst so reliably and keep up the pressure. I'm stoked

"Need to get one of the weakpoints" proceeds to hit him in every man's weak point 💀. All jokes aside as a GL main this looks amazing, great gameplay and great awareness. Also a little tip I found out. You are now able to quick reload off shelling attacks which you were never able to do before. This allows you to spam slap full burst reload slap full burst reload as a huge punishment when wyvern fire is on cooldown or you have a small window

Anybody else see this absolute unit shrug off a lightning strike at 0:18. I know the monster is lightning based but got damn is that awesome.

You actually reload your shells and wyrmstake when you guardpoint using the reload animation, hope this doesnt get changed in the full game

Yeah I’m kinda stuck between Lance/Gunlance as well. I think I’m leaning toward Gunlance this go around as I wasn’t a fan of Sunbreaks iteration. I hope it stays strong as Gunlance has a tendency to fall off at endgame.

I've only used GL in world just 'cause I wanted to have a "meta set" for most weapons and for GL was slap lance, from there I never touched the weapon but after WILDS beta I'm playing all game with it.
