Overall great trailer and alot of the hype that has been simmering for the last few months has now come back full force. Can't wait for this weekend for the beta. I am always down to join in once more.

A bit disappointed that Arkveld was the other monster in the beta... but it was completely expected. I'm avoiding that quest and footage of it like the Frenzy. Other than that though, this trailer is great. New monsters AND returning ones, confirmation of the ice place, and the website says that there's even more unseen returning monsters, so they're not spoiling literally EVERYTHING like they did with Sunbreak. Plus, everyone's suspicions about Fabius being the Ace Lancer were confirmed! 14:52 Also, I'm so glad someone else noticed that lol. Pink Rath got Green Narg-ified.

I won‘t be hunting it either. Gypceros on the other hand is by no means safe. I do like that we can finally stop going insane trying to predict what a dragon element inclementcy would look like. I guess we have 4 apexes themed around the regular elements and Arkveld, clearly being a step above even them gets the elusive dragon element.

That's fair, I'll probably hunt it. If it's like super bullshit, like the other demo flagship hunts, I won't kill myself over beating it. Don't want to spoil the fun, entirely, on release. I hope that doesn't stick Few monsters actually deserve to never come back and few subspecies deserve to just have the original steal their moves. I actually like pink rathian,, for an old gen subspecies/ Because she had new moves and you had to pay attention to hit the non bouncy bits. Everything that's pink will cause bouncing, except for the tip of the tail and her head. That teaches newbies precision. She doesn't have to be in every game but still.

Even though Arkveld being in the beta kinda "spoils" him, I don't think we'll even be close to knowing everything he can do. If we take every bit of footage we have of Arkveld, we can arrive at the conclusion that he'll probably be some kind of invader, seeing as we have witnessed him attacking both an Uth Duna and a Rey Dau. Arkveld probably has special interactions with all four (or five?) apexes. We have seen him sucking energy off of Rey Dau, meaning he'll most likely power up as the story progresses and he attacks more of the Apex monsters. I would wager that the Arkveld we fight in this beta is only the first phase, a "normal" Arkveld that hasn't powered up by stealing energy yet. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he steals the elements from Apex monsters and uses them alongside his own dragon element. In short, I believe we'll still have a lot to look forward to with Arkveld, even though we'll be able to see a bunch of his moves in the beta.

Iceshard Cliffs? Pretty cool, I know a lot of people aren't really enjoying the monochromatic aesthetics of the maps during the Fallow and the Inclemency, but I personally really like all the maps at all times, this one included, If I had to rate them it would probably look like this: B tier: Windward Plains Fallow B tier: Windward Plains Plenty A tier: Oilwell Basin Inclemency S tier: Oilwell Basin Fallow S tier: Oilwell Basin Plenty S tier: Windward Plains Inclemency S tier: Whatever we saw about Iceshard Cliffs S tier: Scarlet Forest Fallow S tier: Scarlet Forest Inclemency S tier: Scarlet Forest Plenty Hirabami looks so good, I really like the vibes I get from the shot of the three Hirabamis during a cloudy and windy day in a weird snowy map with floating rocks, it's peak and I can't wait to see how the Plenty looks like. Unique monster that adds A LOT of variety to both the roster of the game and the roster of Leviathans. Ain't talking about the Apex since we saw like... nothing. Nerscylla looks glorious, I'm glad we can finally witness a Gypceros Vs Nerscylla turf war in-game. Another spooder monster in the roster is good for variety. Then we have Gore Magala, which is... cool? We didn't see a lot but it's nice to have it back. This game somehow manages to diversify the roster so much with every new trailer, we got like, 3 new Leviathans (the Apex is probably one too) and they are all so different from each other. Hirabami doesn't use a new rig/skeleton but it's such a weird and amazing use of the Leviathan skeleton that it almost feels like it's a different kind of monster. Ngl, perhaps it's recency bias, but this is shaping up to be the best base game roster monster we've ever had, magnificient.

I agree. This game seems to have looked at world and said but what if there where just as many cool lesser seen monster classes as there are Wyverns. In my eyes the only thing missing in terms of monster diversity is a good neopteron, maybe a fanged wyvern( it’s interesting we haven’t seen one yet with them being so prevalent in 5th gen) and a version of Hirabami with wings and three times the amount of membrane

I like the different weather looks as well. I'm assuming people will warm up to it in the full release when the weather/season doesn't change as frequently as the beta, when they'll get more time to experience each.

I think i can help with understanding why nersylla is in the ice zone. Now from a nihilistic standpoint its because we already have a spider in the forest. From a lore point the ice shard cliffs seems to be map of what looks like frozen over plant matter. Maybe at once point it was a lush area but after some tectonic event leaving it a frozen hellscape traping nersylla there. These nersylla look different having orange hair, and ofcourse the rubber hide. Nersylla despite what you might think likely can live just fine in the cold. In nature the larger you are the easier it is to retain heat, so a large enough animal does not actually need insulation unless their in fully arctic conditions. So a spider of nersyllas size with both hair and the rubber skin means she should be just fine. Ps she also probably live primarily in the iceshard caves which will be warmer and more humid then the open landscape.

No way the ice apex just is Shin Godzilla, dorsal plates, splitting jaw, downward pluming breath, sternum spike, it's all there. In all seriousness it's honestly the thing I'm most fascinated by even without the Godzilla comparison lol, it's just so strange and we've seen so little. We saw a whole 1 attack and it covered a large area and hit several Hirabami, that's it. Hope if there's any more trailers, we see more of this Notzilla and maybe get a name. And of course; obligatory here's to hoping Lagiacrus gets into this game.

I really want to know what that ice map apex is. Is it an ice snake? I also adore the Nata and hunter conversation. Kid being traumatized, asking why. Us just there, "If you weren't traumatized, you wouldn't be interesting or useful."

This was a great trailer. Hirabami looks great, very creepy and unique as is the trend with wilds originals. NERSCYLLA MY BELOVED! Since Gypceros got revealed I was hopeful for her. She looks fantastic and I’m excited to fight her again. Gores cool I guess, would of preferred a different 4U flagship but beggars can’t be choosers

Arkveld has almost a Pseudo Wyvern skeleton. He's similar to the Whip Wyverns from Frontier, but they use a more normal Flying Wyvern Skeleton, Arkveld has more of a Pseudo Wyvern Skeleton.

Well, I have three predictions on what the Apex of the new map would be, the first would be a sub species of the elder dragon Lao shal long and the reason I think this is because all the way back doing monster hunter frontier there a hit of a sub species of this elder as you can find one frozen on the ice map. Second number to this could be either a new leviathan or snake wyvern or 3: it’s a monster from either monster hunter frontier,online or explore but more modernize, though which I can’t figure out

Archveld almost certainly not, as in the last beta we did not get rey dau armor and could not craft armor. They said this beta is the same as last time only with 2 new monsters, so I doubt we will be able to craft.
