The most garbage quest ever. I don't know if it's RNG or they updated the fight but it's impossible to solo now. She breaks through the barricade before you can load the dragonrazer. The quest is unbeatable when she does, she attacks you the moment you grab a fuel pod regardless if she's aggro'd on your palico or the cannon shooters and even if you manage to load it you need to topple her in the exact right spot to fire it or it doesn't work and then even if you do this she gets up from the topple before you can get up to the lever to fire the stupid razer, which just topples her again if she's not on the ground when you fire it. Since it's a scripted fight it doesn't matter if you do enough damage to beat her normally, if you don't hit her with the dragon razer you don't fulfil the quest requirements. This isn't a git gud scrud thing either, I beat on her for 20+ minutes and have her broken and panting every few moments but can't fire the stupid thing because she gets up from topples too fast. It's a broken quest and garbage wall for solo players that can't be fixed as no one SOS responds anymore, so thanks Capcom for putting this utter BS halfway through master rank. Edit: just watched the whole vid and nope, she never runs down to the middle like that, never, just chases me around and fights but never just runs to the middle and waits like a good little dragon to get shot.

I soloed it last week. Try baiting Velkhana into position where you need to hit it. I left some raw meat there and it worked out well.

They fixed it, you can solo the quest now. If valkhana break through the barrier. You just need to lure her to the front of the canon and the npc will hold it down for you, so you can activate the things.
