A compilation remaster of FU, 3U and 4U would be sick! Those are the only games I can see getting a remaster though, I don’t think dos is going to get a remaster tho, it seems pretty unlikely tbh

I am really hoping that an older game compilation will be announced later this year as part of the 20th anniversary. But odds are it wouldn't happen until after Wilds at the earliest.

yeah, I mean, they will even remaster stories 1 to the point where they even add voice lines to all the story and everything. And stories is a much smaller spin off franchise. Also with 3U, 4U and Generations for 3DS all shutting down in 5 days, this would be the ideal time to bring them to PC and modern consoles. I would say 3U and 4U have the highest chances (Generations would be redundant with GenU already being available), followed by Freedom and Freedom Unite to represent the first 2 generations (they would just need to add online coop functionality for those). And lastly getting an official english version of Dos and 3rd Portable through a remaster would be amazing but it's pretty unlikely.

I was surprised at the lack of information available about dos pvp, at least on YT there were a couple of videos, but most of them were from over 15 years ago, making it hard to tell what the hell was going on in the video lol.

MH Dos walked so Stories could Fly, great video and I hope we get something similar again in the main series, similar to Pukei Pukei in the Witcher 3 Quest to hunter more powerful monsters

Does your Monster really die, if you lose, freeing the slot, or is it just like a Pokemón faint?

It moreso just faints, it’s condition may decrease too. It’s not a permanent faint either, goes back to full health for the next battle

You forgot to mention hunters can actually attack and damage each other. Wouldn't it be nice to just omit the monsters and have players hunt each other, testing their skills and how each weapon/setup fares against one another? A 4 vs 4 PvP would be wild! I mean, PvP is player versus player, not player versus monster, which this technically is.
