I love the fact that you take the time to tell everyone all about reels rods braid trace lures makes and models of all year gear that you use weather its of the rocks with your mates or on the beach with your kids or in the yakka with your better half its very impressive that you stop and take the time to tell your followers about the gear you use especially the new comers either to your channel or people that are just starting out . Its something that not alot of people do in videos and that's tell the viewer's rods reels lures line leader even down to models sizes and weights its something that people who make videos forget to mention is the gear they use . Its very kind and considering of yourself to show us your followers and people that watch but aren't followers the types of gear and set ups your using weather off the rocks or in the beach or in the yakka . I thank you for sharing your fishing with us again I look forward to the next video no matter what it is . Enjoying the Yak sessions with the two of you, you've got a keeper there Briggsy. A bit of bad luck there Orche, would of been a nice one to land but don't worry it won't be the last, that's fishing. Next time you hook something half decent let it run so you get a feel for it and remember most fish are lost at the boat by drags being too tight.

Luv ya vids Briggsy, when I was on the coast I used rock leader 16 to 20 lb when chasing the big flaty's. It was also good for smell to medium jacks and gt's as its layered and has really good abrasion resistance. There might better stuff on the shelf now but I couldn't count the number of times I got a big fish in with the leader hanging by a thread

Another awesome vid Briggsy! my Mrs lost a biiig cod at the boat the other week (too small a leader as well) then redeemed herself a couple casts later with a 52cm trout. I think the girls are better using plastics as they work them with a bit more finesse and slower. I always get outfished by my Mrs with plastics.

I always use 6-pound line, I have lost more monsters than I would like to count but I have had many right to the bank or boat before they broke off. I have only ever got 2 in over a metre, but gees it's been fun trying!

lovely waterway guys. nice sesh. i use 10lb or 20lb leader and to protect the leader from teeth/gills i use a couple of cm of tippet using a triple surgeons knot. obviously the tippet is very short so u will need to tie a new tippet if changing lures often. it only take seconds to do so or u can use a mustad fastach, which i use sometimes. if using 10lb it will be 12lb/15lb tippet. using 20lb it will be 25lb /30lb tippet. all this depends on the circumstances at the time. if SB/GB it will be 30lb without question. i do the same for barra/cod, pending on circumstances(braid/leader r heavier). cheers.
