Monster Jam Showdown Update: Season Pass, DLC Roadmap & Aloha Expansion!

This is still really early on the DLC roadmap guys so not a whole lot of details yet. But I would guess that the Season Pass will be $15-$30, and each individual DLC, if you were to buy them separately, will likely cost between $5-$10 each, and the Aloha expansion probably $10-$15.

The Premium DLC is probably a Marvel DLC and expect Black Pearl to be in the Soldier and Pirates DLC.

4:02 not to cut expectations short. with milestone being at the helm on this project, i would not expect any good communication with their community. as recently they went full nuclear on one of their communities as they deemed any free speech on their game on how to improve quality of life as something to be worth muting for a week or worse banned. only because they would not give the community a straight answer on what is to come of the game after all the dlcs came out. to the point one user got muted due to him asking week by week if they were going to give any patch notes on the game, so when the user got muted the community went up in a roar as he wasn't being mean or annoying to the devs who ran the server. but they deemed it necessary to mute him from the q-a tab... Many things had led up to this situation and slowly people are starting to post about the subject but its something that needs to be shared as not only has this happened once. but through out milestones whole gaming community. so fair warning to you all. sorry to intrude here.

I've heard some drama with the Hot Wheels Unleashed community. Hopefully they'll learn from thier mistakes and do better with Showdown.

@@ToucanPlays from what I know, it will be difficult to judge as any action the community try to make to ask what’s going on. Alexia or the CM delete any confrontation on the subject. Even with everything that happened since the first and the second game. They are fully going nuclear, with how the community is rn I’m surprised they haven’t deleted the server yet

I'm pretty sure that you don't have to be online to play, they do have a physical version and it will be on the PS4. You'll just miss out on a lot of the online features.

Here's my theories on the possible DLC trucks Soldiers & Pirates - Captains Curse, Black Pearl & Soldier Fortune Black Ops (Black Ops could be in Always on Duty to) Grave Digger Legacy - Any anniversary/older Grave Digger's are possible Aloha Expansion - Could be 5 classic/iconic trucks or ones that could represent a family in a way due to the vacation theme possibly? Over Bored & Wreckreation are most likely to be in this one if they are. Otherwise it's far harder to predict this one. Off The Leash - Either all the Monster Mutt Variations, Mega-Bite, Spike Unleashed or very unlikely, Predator, Prowler & Pouncer. I'd say the Mutt's are most likely due to their popularity. Always on Duty - JCB DIGatron will be in this one most likely, otherwise very iffy. Premium DLC is most likely the pre-order bonuses. As 3+3+5+3+3+4(Pre-Orders/Premium)+5(Free)=26 Total DLC Trucks Free Trucks could be anything honestly. Hoping Gunslinger is one though.

Scooby-Doo would be awesome to see in the game. But I've heard that there are a lot of licensing issues with it. I fully expect golden, or at least an homage to golden in the form of a recolor livery, in the game!

it looks like there will be some free DLC, but they did not say exactly what will be in that free DLC. Most of what was listed comes with the season pass, which is part of the deluxe "Big Air" edition, or can be bought separately once the game comes out.

The two premium DLC's not in the season pass I assume are the two preorder packs(Law and Disorder and The Odd Couple) for those who don't get the preorder bonus. I assume Captain's Curse, Soldier Fortune Black Ops, and maybe Black Pearl will be in Soldiers & Pirates. As for the rest, no idea. Including that Grave Digger Legacy pack. I first assumed said pack would just be various paint schemes but that doesn't seem to be right. Maybe the Mr. Destruction truck from 2001 that Dennis used for the Wall of Steel but such an obscure yet famous truck makes no sense at all to me. Or Inferno because the original was Grave Digger 3, but again it's another obscure one that made television one time. But the original Astro Van body has enough variants to justify being in the game. To be honest I highly doubt those last two. Mr. Destruction was never trademarked to my knowledge and Inferno might be a dead trademark.

the game isnt even out and we already have 17 DLC trucks announced holy fuck, this is not looking good at all, please stop supporting these practices, we shouldnt have this much paid content be announced BEFORE the game is even out, we should be getting the full game, not having to pay for "extra" (which is actually just removed) content

I hear you, but if you think about it, video games have been $60 for decades now, but development costs have gone way up. They have to make thier money back somehow, and DLCs are just standard practices at this point. I don't think the plan is too unreasonable honestly, and if you don't want to support it, then you can choose to not buy the extras. I think the game will be a complete, and entertaining game even without the DLC bonuses.
