My uncle and I built a go kart when I was a kid. One of the best childhood memories I have! Every kid needs an uncle like you, keep up the good work! Oh, and make him wear a helmet, all the time!

Last summer I visited my brother in another State and we did a LOT of yard work for our mother. His rototiller tires were flat and dry rotted, so we bought new ones. I was really struggling to mount them when the idea hit me to turn the tiller on its side (carb up!) and use the axel to hold the rim. After that it was a snap. Stay safe!

Instead of getting a mounting plate for the engine to lift it to fit it, do you think a wood block would work?

maybe, but then wood wont hold up like steel does. There are mounting plates you just can bolt on for alignment in both the side to side and forward and backward directions.

All it needs is to be sand blasted, painted, and some touch up welds to get ready to sell/trade it goes about 25-30 the price depends on the deal you find people you know and how much time you are willing to put in to one
