I caught a 4lb 2oz perch from jumbles reservoir in the early 90s, I’m sure that fish will be at least 10lb if still alive! 75ft deep means there could be monsters in there…….

That’s a giant. Great work. 🎣

Whats the canal roach bream hybrid record my mate had 1 about 5.5lb and ive had 1 over 3lb the record is 7lb from a river but i reckon were going to brake the record this year
@samuelgarrod83272 ай бұрын
As far as I know there isn't one. Probably because hybrids can hybridise again, a roach/Bream hybrid may hybridise with a bream or a roach. DNA is the only way to find out.

Used to fish Joe's pond in the early 90s we used to get 2 3 4lbers all the time never knew a place with so many huge fish were in. my biggest was nearly 5lb and we saw one we reckon 9 to 10lbs 6 people saw it it wasn't a Zander .Never saw any perch that size ever. At the time this pond was probably the best around .average small perch was 1lb .We could get 20 2 to 3lbers or more all the time .

Those are giant perch! There's no doubt waters with hidden UK record fish out there.

How big was this pond? I find it highely unlikely that fish like that wouldnt get caught ever and identified and weighed. Unless joes pond was actually a loch in scotland lol.. the tales in this comments section is hilarious.

There are not many things as exiting in angling as getting bit by big perch on lures.

Tench as they're sooo slow growing and the record is very unlikely to get beaten again .

When you reel in a bunch of maggots on a single hook it spins in the water and looks like squid 🐙
