Today is the final day for my Best Monster series! This video explains the best monsters of Monster Sanctuary. This is one of my most detailed videos of Monster Sanctuary.
Monster Sanctuary is a extremely fun indie, metroidvania and monster taming game where you explore new areas, defeat bosses, also known as champions, unlock new monsters to get new exploring abilities, equip them with custom made equipment and other items like food, and much more!

He does show skill tree. When he shows the equipment screen, it shows all of the skills in the bottom left. All icons match up, and any numbers is the amount of times the skill was chosen. If you look up at the stats in the top, the number of green bars is the number of skill points used to upgrade it

@@jaimereupert4247 what do you mean? It shows all of the passives either through the display icons, or the blue bars at the top o the screen you seem to be a bit confused. The icons aren't just active skills for damage. The icons cover all skills (passive and active). The only information not shown by the icons is the stat boosts, but you can see those in the top of the screen

Crystal Snail is also really good, i had a team during my 2nd playthrough of the game which was dracogran, crystal snail and i believe goblin archer and it performs very well. light shifted racogran and dark shifted goblin archer take care of damage and debuffs as for defense crystal snail takes care of it. One time i damage tanked a 13 levels overleveled akhlut with a crystal snail and it worked, first i got some debuffs on akhlut using goblin hood and then he died and then so did dracogran. So i was left with only crystal snail and he succesfully damage tanked a 13 levels overleveled champion monster for 50 turns and i won due to the debuffs i inflicted, it took an incredibly long time but i won, i went on to use the same strategy with asura and many other champion monsters, and for dps my team isnt bad, as long as goblin hood and dracogran dont die due to the insanely underleveled monsters i had due to raiding areas of the game incredibly early like mystic workshop at level 9 which i did by getting an arumntail and going to fire caverns and then i managed to barely beat a dracogran and then i spent a while trying to not lose to overleveled monsters to get a fire stone and then with my dracogra which has a greater flight ability i reached the workshop and whent to go buy the plus 4 rings to use for most of my playthrough and overall it worked well.

Yo this game is mad fun I recently started a new character just so I could go through the story with some experience and it’s more fun the 2nd time around I can’t wait til the 3rd and 4th. Games like this are fun when you know what you’re doing

You can see every skill, all the equipment and food in the status bar. A lot of people say you can't see the "stat plus" skills, but you can see them at the top left where the actual stats are. (the green extra bars represent the stat plus skills)

Well. King Blob being better then Caraglow (even just slightly) is wrong. Put Caraglow into a crit team (i did it with the Wolf starter and the Bat) and watch the enemy scream. Caraglow increases crit and Physical dmg of the whole team with her buff and has a passiv which increases that crit dmg buff even further. On top of that her heals each give a power stack and crit heals have a chance of giving random buffs. So yeah in this game Tier lists are more or less useless because this game is designed in a way that your team combination matters more then a single Monster. I didnt encounter a single useless Monster in the whole game they can all be used.

So how did you come to this conclusion of the top ten? Why are big healers doing so much damage ? Do they actually do more damage than any other attacker?

I'd probably rather strongly disagree with Caraglow being in any 'top ten' list. Sure, she can heal... but that's ALL she can do. Any turn in which she doesn't need to heal, she's effectively a wasted turn. Unlike Grummy or G'rulu, who can heal and also do other things. To be blunt, if you need that much healing, you're already doing something wrong, like relying on glass canons like Catzerker or Tengu.

I mean, of course. Although there are many healers, Caraglow can heal the most HEALTH out of any other healer. She can also apply charge stacks to everyone with her light shift, and give buffs while healing as well.

In my opinion Imori better than grulu because he can put all 4 debuffs as well as having debuff mastery with darkshift and can also gain buffs from placing debuffs stringed with debuffs being 20% more effective on him at the same time having very high def

hey which Blob did you evolve your King Blob from? It could have one of four passive based on which you chose

Does it matter which blob you evolve into King Blob?

I guess, each blob has a different shift passive. If you evolve King Blob from a light-shifted Blob, you will get Heal Charging, and if you evolve King Blob from a dark-shifted blob, you will get Debuff Mastery.

Hey good video! Couple of questions: your Troll seems to have an extra skill that is not in his skill tree- is that added via the weapon (Heavy Mace). Also, how did you get those weapons?? I swear I had the poison dart but now don’t see it in my inventory. Is there limited storage?

yep, king blob is an amazing tank + healer, and can also apply a ton of regeneration and debuffs. I put Caraglow on this list because Caraglow is the best raw healer, meaning she can heal the most health.

best monsters? lol The game is just purely unbalanced. What other game do you know of where flat damage dealing is absolutely stomped by debuff tactics. That kind of thing is supposed to be a choice, not FORCED on the player, especially regarding RPGs. I like the sprites and animations , but god damn is it unbalanced as fuck. 90% of all mobs are useless cuz the only thing that actually works is "abusing" debuffs. Seems like a pretty big oversight, if you ask me. Why the hell base the focus of your gameplay on something as slow as debuffing your enemies to death, It's artificial game-padding and it just makes everything take WAYYY longer than it should. Oh what next? "you can speed up battle in the options!" , yeah ummm , if your game needs that in the first place then there's something that's just plain off.

In addition to what the other commenter said, this game is probably balanced around PvP. Their item choices allow him to destroy the champion monsters, but in a keeper duel with other players, they'd probably get destroyed. I was supposed to try out PvP today, but ques are way too long in the morning for new players, and I don't fancy doing it now; It is possible I'm wrong. But, you can look at the top players on the leader boards, and there isn't a single team like video maker's on them. So he's ahead of the curve, or he's abusing the "Dominance" ability on champion monsters.

My argument is about flat-damage vs damage per turn. < - - - this debate does not exist in shin megami This design right here just outright makes at least 60% of your options absolutely useless. It's FORCING you to go the debuff route and that makes everything LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG and SLOWWWWWW
