I met both Sebastian and Jan at SnF a few years ago. Both were great to talk to. I have been wanting to build a 750 for awhile and although I wouldn’t put this gear on it, I’d very likely go with that engine. And as I want to put it on amphib floats, I might go with that prop as well. Just need to get my garage cleaned out and put the money together.

Look at the Butterfly, of the Gyroplane lineage, the designer designed a stop and plop landing gear. This ery successful landing gear, came about in conjunction with Carter Copter.

I really like his STOL mod. I am in the Philippines and would really lie to know if this cushion ride suspension could support floats ? The ocean here can at times be choppy....

do you really want to have a bouncy suspension when landing on water? also, the high CoG would make the plane quite unstable, I think.

If the landing gear struts were done as large elliptical "monocoque" pieces, they would be stiffer, maybe lighter, than the tubing system, and, could also give a +tiny+ bit of lift....

What about adding a torsion bar? I had to ad one to couter the roll due to my long travel suspension mod, on my Skynetic Rc Bison xt stol plane.
