running over the guy on the least lap to take the lead, classic. reminds me of a time when i had to run my turbo optima 4wd in the 2wd class one day because of a light turn out, was placed at the back of the pack at the start. race started and i ran over 4 cars to get to turn one first, lol never looked back. that was 1987 my first rc race season

looked a little bouncy. i know the big tires probably has something to do with it. i know your trying to keep it from rolling but i bet if you lightened up on the shock oil a bit and/or maybe a tad lighter spring i bet it would be pretty planted. its fun to watch a monster truck beat buggys around the track.

Looks like that monster truck has parallel steering (0% Ackerman). I notice it turns in pretty damn hard (on a loaded turn/while braking and doesn't understeer like some buggies seem to do. Unless you coast, then it seems to push a bit, but if your either on throttle or on the brakes, in just CRANKS in like a MF. Makes you wonder if modifying the knuckles on a buggy to have less Ackerman (most RCs look like they have full 100% Ackerman with the kingpin to tierod point converging a the center of the rear axle) would give you a turning advantage. Most full-scale cars run less than 100% Ackerman, especially sports and supercars(I've read a few articles of modded track day/autocross cars running between 40%-60% Ackerman). Drifters with angle kits run all the way up to parallel steering, and Formula series cars even run ANTI-Ackerman to get the most out of their tires/downforce. Just... Another thing to look into. In addition to the narrow front track and the rear motor setup with the same overall W/D as a mid-motor car idea.
