I used to hate on Funko but as a person from the ‘developing world’ there was a huge lack of collectibles and decorations from so many fandoms. Now, Funko managed to fill so many gaps, and most importantly, encouraged other vendors to give these brands a chance.

I don't love Funko or Super7 's products in general, but it can't be denied that they're absolutely offering things that other companies just aren't. Whether it's licenses that just aren't getting taken, fun exclusives, or ridiculously deep cuts, there's a lot of my collection from these guys I'm thankful for because I'd never have them otherwise.

I think it depends what fandom/what range you are getting. I am not the biggest fan of funko especially the pops but it's the only company that has collectable Scott pilgrim stuff atm so I have them.

Honestly I think blind boxes are the toy versions of certain Mobile Games, like Godzilla Battle Line for example. That's why I've never had anything within this mechanic out of fear I would just get repeats.

the fact that secound box was basically a repeat is nuts! I went to the store and bought a bunch myself then had my wife buy some cause they had a limit of 5 on them. Only ones I got that you didn't pull were the black and white godzilla and hedora. The Hedora mold looks amazing.. now I just gotta sell my duplicates as well lol

Normally not a Funko guy....besides from a few of their board games (Including the Godzilla one) but these Minis actually are more appealing than most...nice to see the Showa Era guys getting some love. I like these designs better than funko's usual output. I wouldn't pay seven bucks a pop for them but these have a lot more personality than their usual stock. And I really do appreciate that. Random suggestions if they do wave 2: Battra, Kumonga, Kamakuras and King Caesar. KC needs more love in general. I also wouldn't be opposed to Zilla, Monster X, or Ebirah... I like giant arthropods, I guess.

I can explain why you got an exact copy of your box. It seems the Mystery Minis run on a regional set case. So one area gets a bunch of boxes with shin godzilla, another area gets a bunch of boxes with space godzilla and the other monsters, and two other regions gets boxes with no chases.

I grabbed up a few individual boxes at a local Game Stop. There was no display box. They were just displayed loosely on a shelf. I think there was something like 15 or so. I grabbed three and fortunately no doubles (I got a Hedorah, a Ghidrah, and a Destroyah for those who need to know that kinda stuff). Cutesy super deforms are not my thing but these did look pretty cool. So should there be a wave 2, what would my picks be? King Seesar, Toho's way goofy King Kong, Mothra (larva form), Ebirah, Varan, Gorasaurus, Megalon, Titanosaurus, Biollante, Battra, Megaguirus, and Jet Jaguar. I wouldn't be opposed to Toho characters who never ran afoul of Godzilla like Frankenstein, The Gargantuas, Machanikong, the original Mogera, the various creatures from Space Amoeba, etc....

I remember their X-Men line. I kept getting Cyclops. Problem was, I bought them all at different stores, and all from different boxes. That said, I wonder how long these will take to hit Five Below. They have a special release of their blind box figures, but with windowed plastic on the boxes so you can pick out which ones you want. Usually the assortment is smaller, so you still have to gamble with blind boxes for the entire collection. But if you only want one specific character, that's the way to go. As long as they keep them in stock, that is.

These might be my favourite little Godzilla monster figures ever! They’re detailed and have a cute charm to them with their stylized appearance! I’ll probably try collecting the entire set when I have the money. For a series 2 I feel like it would be cool for there to be: 1. Biollante 2. King Caesar 3. Jet Jaguar 4. Megalon 5. Baragon 6. Kumonga 7. Manda 8. Ebirah (Or alternatively Kamacuras, though I would love to see Ebirah get some love) 9. Varan 10. Moguera 11. Megaguirus 12. Godzilla Minus One There are of course others like Titanosaurus and Mecha-King ghidorah and many potential kaiju but I stuck with the base 12 slots like for the first series, and just picked the bunch I’d personally really like to see make an appearance in a potential second series of figures and ones I feel Toho might pick out. Really hope a second series of figures is made by funko!!

Yeah MIB, I wanted these so badly, but the moment I saw those odds, I flat out said no, since no matter how fresh the case, more than half the box is Godzilla, Mothra, Mechagodzilla, and Anguirus every single time, with 1 rodan and 1 Gigan guaranteed. (Leaving King Ghidorah, Hedorah, space godzilla, and Shin godzilla to fight for the other 2 box slots) I could have been so simple to just have everyone be 1/12, but nope, funko had to return to their nasty Horror Classis series 3 ratio (aka, 90% of the box is duplicates)
