@@matthewavery2934 In the 2000s, it was considered safe to have a broken truck still run despite the 2009 Tacoma incident. Around 2015 they got rid of the crazy destruction, reduced the amount of cars, quit building unique tracks, stopped painting the tracks with cool designs, and a number of other things. Now the drivers aren't even allowed to go into the stands and give fans souvenirs anymore. Nobody makes signs anymore. They stopped giving the fans what they wanted to see. 2024 is the best modern season in a while but if they would add all the stuff back that they used to have, FELD would make a bunch of money because fans have been deprived of it for so long.

Wow, I remember having a blast, seeing all those freestyle highlights on Disc 2 of the Monster Jam World Finals 7 2-DVD when it first came out in 2006! Cool freestyle runs, but it's crazy how Del Scorcho, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Monster Mutt lost their fiberglass parts early on in their freestyle runs. However, it's cool how Frank Krmel, Randy Brown and Charlie Pauken made the best of all of it. It's similar to how Sky Hartley made the best of things at World Finals 1 when his monster truck, Sting, lost its entire fiberglass body when he made his first freestyle move. Also, it's a shame Hot Wheels could not freestyle at World Finals 7 as a result of a mechanical problem in the semi-finals of racing, but at least its driver, Neil Elliot, made up for it by setting up the second Maximum Destruction for Tom Meents' most incredible freestyle start in history and driving it in the freestyle encore. Thanks for the wonderful nostalgia!

Read through the comments on these old videos it’s so clear that 95% of the fan base is in agreement that this time frame is when the sport was at its best. The way feld has disgraced this sport is absolutely pitiful. Hopefully one day another company will somehow come into ownership of the brand and bring it back to its roots, a motorsport based on destruction and entertainment, as opposed to a toddlers show about big twucks

The fact that I grew up in this era and see what its become just makes me sad. something about crush cars and trucks getting more ridged as time goes on. Just something about modern monster jam now is that it feels like it's already been done multiple times. Including with Maximum Destruction being gone with how they made that as the big match up between that team and Team Grave Digger, It just feels hollow and a shell of its former self. I mostly find myself being older and rewatching ones I grew up with or even before my time in the late 90s through the early 00s and enjoy those shows way more. TL;DR- Modern Monster Jam is just a shell of its former self :c Edit: I stopped watching it on a regular basis in 2018 and think the last great show was in Tampa 2016. The reason why is the track layout became the same everywhere they went.
