Question: can they still do the actions shown in this video? never played generation, so I don't even know what the point of mounting is exactly (I can guess, I just don't "know"), but from a gameplay point of view, I can understand that the monsters wouldn't do these things as soon as they are mounted, because it would kill all the fun, but if the action has been removed entirely for the sake of mounters, that's just lame...

Arkalidor Yeah they just stand there and take it for the most part. It's just a game mechanic thing. If the monsters had individual AI for mounts rather than just animations, it would definitely be interesting.

This is a paradox. The art of mounting and the Insect Glaive doesn't have a clear beginning. Player 2 teaches the Gen 3 Hunters, who eventually teach the Gen 4 Hunters who create the art of Mounting and the Insect Glaive, assuming Player 2 time traveled.

Apparently he got hip checked so hard he was sent to tri, (as seen in the lagombi sorcery video), got told how to mount, got sent back to the future, then told those people, who then made mounting and the insect glaive. I think this is it at least.

Sarth Mannson well, really the lancer don't died, he keeps hunting normally in mh4u(whitout the original partners, at the start he feel's alone, but he make more friends), and i suppose he become a master and partner 4 the new adepts to monster hunter, like mr. Je suis monte, etc. It's the only one than have a good fate

The funny thing about watching this animation now is you can mount around maybe half those monsters in MHGen. At the very least Royal Ludroth, Nibblesnarf,Urugaan and Volvidon. And yet it also makes you wonder (outside of gameplay reasons) why they don't do what is shown in this animation to you. Heck! Makes me feel there should be a "If mounting in Monster Hunter was more realistic" vid or something. xP

Actually the joke is, in the lagombi sorcery video, the same snowball shenanigans happened to Player 2, and when he rolled down the hill, the Plesioth hip-checked him so hard he got sent flying, which led to him being stuck in Gen 3 for a while. This time it decided not to hip-check at all.

I don't know why, but if you can tame a Bnahabra then that should be a possible Kinsect Glaive bug. Anyway, I wish Player 2 and the Bnahabra actually liked each other. It would have been sad when Player 2 had to leave the time line of tri, but the bug wanted to go with Player 2. It would have been really emotional. And then when Player 2 wakes up realizing it was all a dream, he would cry that his buddy didn't come with him.
