I love this episode. This is one of the episodes that I have people watch if they are new to Doctor Who. This episode gets new fans accustomed to the "world" of Doctor Who without bogging them down with the "lore" of Doctor Who. This is a great stand alone as well as "Don't Blink."

A lot of people give this one praise but only for concept alone . No one ever seems to factor in how this doesn’t fit with s2 at all and honestly could be be in s3 or 4 . It’s the only episode that treats rose with such little care and attention and as I get older it sticks out badly with all the other episodes . But in a way I can see there’s a refusal from Moffat to play into the doctor loving his companions through rtd. Blink omits much of a chance to see Martha and silence of the library introduces river , almost to set up his take so he does t have to waffle on companion heartbreaks

One of the episodes when the Doctor totally failed. He didn't recognize the beings in distress that he was supposed to help were the clockwork droids. So, Capaldi's first series was undoing his previous mistakes in each episode. Deep Breath was a good follow-up.

what the h...i mean this episode is a Moffat Masterpiece than he repated the story with a different character named river song!, except she is from the doctor 's future and wife ,not an impossible love and from the past ,whatever why gatwa and Russell along Moffat can't work not on a copy but on a story similar to this but with Oscar Wilde,the irish author and playwright
