I miss the days where the Doctor gets their clothes from the Tardis wardrobe. We haven’t seen them do that since The Christmas Invasion (2005). These days we just see them get their new clothes from a hospital or charity shop. 12 and 15 likely got their clothes from the Tardis wardrobe but this clearly happened offscreen. Edit: I mean we never actually SEE the Doctor go to the Tardis wardrobe a try on new clothes anymore.

I like to think the clothes manifesting on Two was the Doctors body behaving differently for a first time regeneration so his appearance matched his personality a little bit too literally. With Fourteen I believe his predecessors forced regeneration and emotional exhaustion caused a glitch in the process to create a near perfect recreation of happier times (I.e. the face with vanity issues therefore being his happiest face) with the missing suit jacket, partially unbuttoned waistcoat, and rolled up sleeves being the process having difficulties in filling in the gaps.

It's the only time I know of where an outfit was approved by a rival of the Doctor's, as opposed to a companion or ally (as was the case with the Fourth Doctor's outfit).

But the Doctor was so addled in the head at the time that, if he brought out any of the ridiculous outfits he tried early on in his fourth incarnation (e.g. the viking, the clown), the Rani theoretically could have approved any of those and the Doctor might not have given it a second thought.

A running gag in this show is the 4th Doctor's scarf making an appearance after he left. 6th Doctor looks at it, 7 wears a version of it. Even 8 finds one in the hospital. It's more so a fun easter egg, but funny to think the doctor keeps manifesting the scarf

Say what you will about the Chibnall era but I actually do really love 13's outfit. Especially with the earrings. I know it isn't particularly meaningful like some past Doctors' costumes are, it's just kinda weird for the sake of the quirk. Very 6th Doctor in that regard. But it's weird in a way that also kinda works. Feels modern and retro at the same time, not to mention very queer (and as a queer person, hell yeah). Those few seasons were rather a let down but I still remember how pumped I was in this first episode.

I would love to see fans create their own scenes for the incarnations of the Doctor that got their costumes off screen, whether it is in live action, audio, animated or illustrated form. It would also be interesting to see the Doctors when they get different costumes midway through their era like how the Eleventh Doctor changed from the tweed jacket to the purple coat in The Bells of Saint John.

Where is the Scene where the 11th Doctor choose his new outfit? He was wearing a Monks Robe when Clara calles him by phone. He then runs of to visits Clara, for the first time, in the Present day, but Clara is confused and do does not know who he is. The Doctor then realize he is still wearing the Monks Robe so he went back to the Tardis. He went "downstairs" lookes into a trunk and pulled out 2 Outfits. 11th first clothes he wore when he was with Amy. And a second new outfit. Because of bad memories he threw away the old outfut and went for a new one. So where is THIS Scene, hm? Missing.

Colin Baker mentioned in an interview in the fan magazine that he wasn't fond of his outfit either. He had wanted something more contemporary and darker similar to what the Ninth Doctor would eventually wear but the showrunners at the time felt the design reflected the Doctor's alien nature.

There was I believe an all blue version of the outfit Colin wore. It looked really nice but I think they used the ring master look to show how unstable he was. And honestly to hell with everything after Capaldi.
